Upon arrival, I was way early, check in not till noon, but I already at the hotel by 9am in the morning, and I didn't sleep at all the night before due to early flight. So I was at the front desk asking if possible to get a room early check in, unfortunately no room was available. So I if... More

Dear Mr. , It’s really unfortunate that your experience at Everest Porto Alegre Hotel was not positive and we were very sad as we are always in constant search to do the best for our guest. We had some problems with the elevators that week, it was certainly not pleasant and for this situation we apologize. We would like to... More

The hotel is celebrating its 50th anniversary but it may have seen better years. To be honest I do not have a sense of what the other hotels in Porto Alegre are like. I suspect, regardless of stars, etc, this is a mid-range hotel. So, what do you want? Central? This was within walking distance of the city centre and... More

I stayed a few days for a conference in Porto Alegre in this Hotel. Booking: book on the Hotel's webpage, you will save some money. Impressions: The Hotel lies in the very center of the city, bus stations are nearby. It has a nice entrance (the Hotel bar could be more inviting... I never saw someone there) and friendly staff... We spent 4 nights at the Everest Hotel whilst traveling around Brazil following the Aussie soccer team (Room 502). We had a pleasant stay there, the location was central and handy, the room was comfortable (Beds were fine), breakfast was reasonable and the staff were friendly and helpful. As was normal in the various Brazilian hotels, the TV reception in... More

Stayed for 5 nights during the World Cup. Basically everything was fantastic. Great location in the historic centre and walking distance to most attractions. My room was a decent size and the bed, sheets and pillows were the best I'd experienced from several hotels during two months in South America. Service was good and the breakfast and set lunches in... More

It's probably more deserving of 2.5 stars, but to the extent that I have to rate it either 3 or 2 stars, 2 is more appropriate. Perhaps there are renovated rooms, but my room - and the entire floor that I was on - was old, damp and stuffy. I was actually very happy to leave, after staying two days.... More

Pros: good location, in downtown historic district. 5 mins from Cathedral, nice town squares, the old Sao Pedro theatre (which has an excellent, and popular, buffet lunch), not far from port (where you can take a pleasant trip on the scheduled catamaran service). Friendly staff. Fairly decent buffet breakfast (on 16th floor, with good views of the port.) Good value... More

Stayed there for three nights with my mother and aunt. The location is very good, near the main tourist attractions downtown. Staff was extremely helpful, Debora, the concierge gave us very good suggestions on what to do. The bedrooms were comfortable but mine was a little outdated, but my mother and aunt stayed in one of the renovated rooms. The... More
