Staff had no record of our fully paid booking for a twin room and tried to make us pay again, even after we showed them confirmed payment in English and Portuguese. Then we were given a bunk room which smelt so strongly of stale smoke I woke up hanging for a cigar. Dodgy part of town. Not recommended.

Very basic, but my room was clean. Cheap compared to nearby hotels, but the general condition of the place does reflect this - would benefit from redecoration. Good breakfast, most reception staff were friendly and spoke reasonable English. Convenient location for Plaza Sao Rafael Conference centre (2 minutes walk), although this general area is quite run-down and there are probably... More

I stayed here for a few days, as it was the cheapest option in the center. I moved because I couldn't get warm and my clothes wouldn't dry. (It was raining in Porto Alegre.)
