My husband and I have been to the Flying Saddle 3 out of the last 5 years. Anytime we go to Yellowstone or Grand Tetons, we always stop in for the night. Its a beautiful, quiet place, right on the river. Only about 30 minutes or so from Jackson Hole. It has a restaurant and store/gift shop on the premises.... More

I was on the road and it was getting late as I arrived in Alpine. The Flying Saddle is located about 1/4 mile away from the road I cam in on, so,I didn't see it. I asked the local gas station folks (risky, I know) if there were any "nice" hotels nearby. They steered me to the Flying Y. This... More

Found this place on Trip Advisor. The positive reviews are right on. We stayed here on our way to Grand Tetons and a return trip from Yellowstone to SLC. The grounds are well maintained and inviting with sitting areas with small waterfalls and lots of flowers. The resort is located next to the beautiful Snake River with mountains all around.... More

We found this hotel online while looking for places to stay on our trip out west. It's a beautiful hotel, had a great room. The room was very large, the pool area was great also. We didn't eat here since it was very expensive. We had dinner down the road. We didn't know it was so far away from Yellowstone.... More

Because of TripAdvisor, I found out about this wonderful resort and contacted them directly (info on their website)... I'd forgotten how breathtakingly beautiful Alpine and south on Route 89 are, but had never stayed before. I was told I could mention this... they have special pricing in April (ONLY til the end of the month) and I was thrilled. The... More

Stayed 5 days over Thanksgiving and it couldn't have been better. Our cabin was comfortable, clean and adorable. Not much going on I'm Alpine, so it's great that the bar and restaurant are open daily. Ted and Lisa do a great job running the kitchen and bar. Chicken Mole enchiladas were delicious!

Let's start with the good. Very comfortable bed and nice pillows. Quiet, and a very nice hill/mountain view from the rooms facing the river. Rooms have a small bathroom but have an extra sink in the bedroom. Front desk staff provides great service. The dinner service is not bad in the bar -fish was greasy.. They have a liquor store... A well located motel just off the highway outside Alpine and approx 30 miles south of Jackson Hole as we did not want to pay the exorbitant prices in Jackson. We stayed on a ground floor room in the motel building and found the room spacious, light and nice outlook with a small outside terrace with a small table and 2 chairs.... The cabin we stayed in was very roomy, well maintained with comfy furniture, an electric fireplace, flat screen tv's and a refrigerator. Everything was clean and modern and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay here. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The steakhouse had great food and service. We would stay here again.
