For a pure beach holiday and total relaxation this hotel was ideal. Our room looked out onto the sea and was absolutely amazing. Good hotel. Recommended for location and cleanliness. Room has all facilities - Fridge, air conditioning, overlooking sea, TV, hairdryer, large shower. Towels and sheets changed daily. Room could be described as a bit 'tired' in need of a lick of paint but did not put us off and very good value for money. Very friendly staff and food in restaurant... more

Hotel location on a stretch of road opposite National Dune Park, there are around 6 hotels on this stretch of road and all back onto the beach. Ground floor rooms lead directly onto the beach. Have just returned from 2 weeks in this great 3 star hotel. Always a bit wary about 3 stars but would choose the same hotel again for various reasons. My husband , myself and our two sons, 22 and 23 have just got back from a weeks stay at the Vila Do Mar and we can't wait to go back. The lcoation is brilliant and although the hotel is one of the oldest on the Via Costeria it makes up for it with its beachfront location and wonderful staff.... more
