This hotel is located near the financial and theatre districts of Rio. If you want to go to Ipanema or Copacabana, there is a metro station around the corner and one-way trip to the beaches will cost you 3.50 Reais or less than $ 2.00. By cab, the cost will be around $ 12 to $ 16. The hotel provides... More

Walls were none existent as far as noise was concerned. When the guy in the room next took a shower it sounds like an air conditioner motor was in our room. This is no exaggeration. A complaint at the desk offered us a move to another room but the room was to small. They new of the problem but could... More

We had 4 nights here leading up to the fifa final, the room was fine but the lift noise was shocking every movement of the lift rang through the room (1801) the air con was the only thing that drowned out the noise of the lift as that sounded like a child's bike with a lolly stick hitting the spokes.... I stayed here during the World Cup final weekend. The hotel is a very decent 3 star hotel. The location isn't great for tourism as it's a good 30 min away from the beaches. However it's a good hotel for a quick city trip as rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly. Near the hotel there are... More

I was in Rio de Janeiro during the quarterfinals of the World Cup (Germany vs. France) and needless to say the occupancy rate was very high and many hotels were gouging guests with inflated prices. I found a very good deal (about $175 a night) for Windsor Asturias and thought it was either a bait-and-switch or just a lousy hotel.... More

We rented a room through another service and reserved for three. When we got there they told us your reservation only said two yet there was three beds in the room. Then they charged us an additional 250$ for two nights. The bathroom smelled like mold. The staff are clueless and not accommodating. If you are going here for World... More

Did not really know what to expect from this hotel as although we have travelled widely this was the first to South America. The first impression was not good as it took the taxi driver to raise the hotel staff from their discussion to assisting us with the luggage. The room reminded me of a Spanish three star hotel of... We stayed in Windsor Asturias over the New Year's Eve. Service and room were perfectly good. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. There was a beautiful view at night from the roof top terrace. Despite being small the roof top pool offered a good refreshment option. Also caipirinhas at the roof terrace were great. At the reception everyone spoke good... More

We stayed at this hotel for a night on our way back from Paraty and onwards to Buenos and didn't want to go back to Copacabana Palace (which was our favourite hotel in the trip!) Near subway station and domestic airport. (I actually walk from the airport to the hotel) Hotel personals are friendly, ready to help. Super fast elevator. Room is clean daily and well maintained. WIFI in the room is a little bit slower than US standard.
