Very good location: not far from Ipanema beach, Cobacabana beach! Metro statiom, supermarkets. But it was very difficult to find this hostel, because the street is very short and it is not marked in the map. Near the entrance there is no any sign too. The fans and AC works very loudly. But hostel is not big and not crowded.

We stayed in the 'Suite' for 1 week. Cannot comment on the dorms, communal bathrooms or showers. As other people have mentioned the hostel has no signage at all so make sure you know the address. You can then ring the buzzer to be let in- I guess this makes the hostel more secure. GOOD - location, only 5-10 mins... More

The hostel is situated right next to Ipanema beach (5 min) and Copacabana beach can be reached in 10 minutes by foot. Don't forget to memorize the exact address, since there's no sign outside and you'll need to buzz. There's a 12-bed mixed dorm, a 9-bed (female) dorm and a 4-bed private room. We had the private room, which was... More

The hostel is a very nice and clean place. It's located very close to General Osorio Metro Station in a very safe place. There's not even at the bell a sign that there is a hostel. So remember to have the exact address when you get there. The staff there is horrible. Not friendly and they couldn't tell us anything,... More

This hostel was a great first pitstop when we arrived in Rio. It was about 30 mins from the main airport (GIG) and is only 5 minutes walk from Ipanema beach. We had a very friendly welcome and felt safe behind the gated access. We had a private room that had air con and a clean comfy bed. Breakfast was... More

The service was horrible and the coffee is pretty weak. The receptionist was very unfriendly. Little time for enjoying breakfast. Only the price paid off but not much. I do not go back and do not recommend. The dependencies of the shared room is not good. The mattresses are bad.

I stayed in this hostel after a recommendation from my friend, and I understood what a wise choice it was. Hostel is just 5 minutes to Ipanema beach on one direction, and to the lake on the other direction. It was also very convenient for the metro line. Although I stayed in a 12 bed dorm, beds were so comfortable... More

Everything in this Hostel was old, dirty and rundown. Clearly the most disappointing hostel experience i had in Brazil. We stayed in the so called "Suite" which appeared to be a smelly, humid room hardly big enough to host the bed. The room was full of mosquitos ( Living ones and a lot of dead ones on the Walls). No... More

I picked this hostel for one night as we had a stop over before going to ilha grande. We booked the private suite room. I stayed 2 nights in March here. The location is excellent, a few blocks from Ipanema beach, walking distance to excellent restuarants (Brasilnheiro, Casa do Feijoada), Gen Osario Metro. It is very secure, there isn't even a sign showing that it is a hostel. To get in, you have to ring a bell of an apartment complex. It is in... More
