We had a really nice stay at the Praia Lido Hotel. The staff was friendly, it was clean, the rooms were nice and the location was just one street from the beach.
We found the hotel by accident since the entrance is quite small, but once you come up the stairs the rest is really nice. Since it was low-season (June) we got a really good price, and payed 120 reais per night for a double room (The prices posted on the wall were higher).
The rooms were nice, with radio, TV and airconditioning. The beds were a little hard, and with plastic wrapping around mattresses. That made them a little uncomfortable, but at least you know they're clean that way.
I recommend a room in the back, instead of facing the street where it got quite noisy.
Decent breakfast was self-serve until noon, which was great when you want to sleep in.
Safes are available for free, and using the internet in the lobby was quite cheap.
