We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights beginning December. It's in an excellent location, beach front. We had a room at the front on the hotel 12th floor and had a fantastic view. Rooms at the back don't have a view. Room was lovely large king size bed,40 in TV and bathroom had a Jacuzzi bath. Breakfast... More

I stayed here for a couple of nights between Christmas and NYE. The hotel was in a great location, as it is on Avendida Atlantica which is right on Copacabana Beach. My friends and I could walk everywhere. The pool was on the top floor and the view was amazing. However, the pool bar was located inside and wasn't always... More

The hotel is located right on copacabana beach so you can have the best views all day long. Breakfast is also good with the variety of pastries and fruits. Staff at reception could be a little bit more helpful with helping out to book certain bars, and restaurants for dinner as well as packages for us and helping with a... More

The Hotel Astoria Palace is in a great location in the middle of Copacabana beach. Its 2 blocks from the subway and just across the street from the beach. We only stopped at the pool once but it was already closed. You can't sit up there at night as it appears to close and sun down. The bedrooms are pretty... More

The hotel is located perfectly on the Copacabana beach. The room was in front of the beach on 13th floor.I would suggest to anybody who is booking this hotel to ask for a room facing the beach. The breakfast is really good and includes local pastries, eggs, bacon, cheese and fruits. The coffee is OK also. The only pitfall is the WiFi connection which has... More

Front desk staff are not nice nor rude they just seem indifferent. Some were nicer than others but overall not excited to answer any questions you may have. Our room had a horrendous view ( pic attached) no hot water, no microwave, no coffee maker. The room was clean on the surface but I doubt that it was actually sanitized,... More

Booked hotel using Gate1 travel so I really didn't have many options with regards to the vacation package. Positives: 1) location at Copacabana Beach. 2) hotel next door called Maxims (good eats). 3) friendly staff. Negatives: 1) room was average in size and décor. bathroom was small and lacked space. 2) no free Wifi in room unless you pay 30... More

We had 5 nights at the Astoria.which is located right on the Atlantica Avenue over looking the beach. The room we had was a superior room with beach views, pay the extra and get one of these rooms. The room was on the 11th floor and was a good size and comfortable and the bathroom was also a good size.... More

We selected this hotel because of the location for the World Cup. The hotel is old and the rooms are small. Our window overlooked an alley and we had to keep the window closed because of the odor. We were robbed while at Fanfest on Copacabana beach. I immediately went to the hotel and was very disappointed in their lack... More
