My wife and I stayed here for five nights in March 2015, and we booked this hotel entirely on location, which is based reasonably centrally on Copacabana beach. Area seemed safe enough, however we read up safety advice before we travelled. We travelled to the hotel by set fee taxi at R$110, however a metered taxi in non-rush hour comes... More

The situation of this hotel is perfect: you cross Av. Atlantica and are at one the most beatiful beaches of Rio. In seconds you get a chair and a beach umbrella and every time thirst becomes hard to endure you call for a beer or a caipirinha. Now, the hotel: it's ok but only ok. People at the front desk... We chose this hotel , because of location, right on Copacabana beach. Other than that, the hotel is very average, its more 3 star, than 4*. Breakfast very basic and so are the rooms. Rooms are actually quite outdated and basic and a bit shabby. the towels change every day and house keeping is also happening on daily basis. The... More

Right on the beach, this looks like an office block from the outside. Friendly staff and a nice breakfast. Average room. Can't go wrong staying here but we arrived from the UK late at night and left immediately after breakfast so I can't say any more. The beach is VERY disappointing at dawn (up with jet-lag) - no-one on it... More

We were part of a group-tour of 9 persons and stayed at Hotel Astoria Palace for 3-nights. The hotel is located across the road from Copacabana beach. But, the room, I & my wife stayed in had a window which had a view of the adjacent building! The size of the double-bedded room was average with an attached bath. The... More

Not to be confused with Hotel Astoria Copacabana which is off the beach. The best thing about the hotel is location, location, location. It is worth it to pay more for it. We took a daily trip across the street to swim and hang out at the beach. The hotel has umbrellas and towels – we didn’t figure it out... More

We knew it was New Year, so we prepare to paid more....but what we got was a prisoner room(on the first floor)with a tiny window near the ceiling, the smallest bathroom we've ever seen! The bathroom door almost touch the basin when it open. The decor is tired and no internet in the room and yet charged well over £600... More

We stayed 2 nights 11th to 13th December at this hotel before boarding a cruise. After reading reviews on TA we didn't know what to expect!! Arrived 10.30pm, check in fine (except for the missing smile!!). Room 4th floor facing beach....view fantastic. Decent sized room, fine for us. Mini bar which was not expensive. Safe which was a must in... More

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights beginning December. It's in an excellent location, beach front. We had a room at the front on the hotel 12th floor and had a fantastic view. Rooms at the back don't have a view. Room was lovely large king size bed,40 in TV and bathroom had a Jacuzzi bath. Breakfast... More

I stayed here for a couple of nights between Christmas and NYE. The hotel was in a great location, as it is on Avendida Atlantica which is right on Copacabana Beach. My friends and I could walk everywhere. The pool was on the top floor and the view was amazing. However, the pool bar was located inside and wasn't always... More
