It is well-located, but at night there is not much people around, it feels a bit unsafe. Close to bars and the subway, the individual room is ok, but close to the door (so if you have a light sleeper, it can be annoying). It is cheap and the personell is very considerate.

This was a very enjoyable stay, Claudia and Anna the hosts are totally awesome and super nice! They make a nice breakfast every morning. The environment was very peaceful and relaxing and everything was clean. I will defenitely stay here again when I return to Rio. The location is nice in a safe neighborhood right near the Metro. Also Claudia... More

Friendly staff, very reasonable price and good location and fast WIFI (which is hard to find in Brazil). The beaches are near and the rest of the city is accessible with the subway. Breakfast is nothing special, but they have ham and cheese toasties, bread and juice so nothing bad either.

Stayed here during World Cup so of course prices were higher than normal but quite reasonable otherwise. Everything was fine except the electricity didn't work upstairs the 2nd day so no hot shower. Also no bag room was provided. Some advice from the staff on Sugarloaf Mountain neglected to mention that if you hike to the 2nd gondola you have... More

Their location is probably the best about it. We were there with 3 people, as it's a small house it looks like more like a cosy house than a hostel. If you are looking for a quite place, near by the best spots of rio, with some good quantitie of restaurants and bars, it's the best place to go. I... More

Excellent location to take bus, subway and walk to one of the most beautiful landscape from Rio de Janeiro: Pão de Açúcar. Bedrooms are comfortable and clean like the restrooms. The hostesses are very kind and friendly, prepared to help and give informations about the city. Breakfast is simple and delicious, like your mother makes at home. Bread is always... More
