Have to disagree with the previous reviews. Stayed there in august and found that the room we reserved was quite clearly a converted cupboard. i know that hostels are budget accomodation but this really wasn't acceptable. Having since looked over the reviews on the hostelworld booking site seems like we weren't the only ones unhappy with this room. Also the... more

Don't think twice before choosing Stone of a Beach as the best hostel to stay in Rio! I had a great time there and the opportunity to meet young people coming from all around the world! It's a very cozy place and they have a great barbecue party for their guest! It's worth it! more

I visited Rio back in April 2007, it should not have taken me that long to write a review about this great hostel. I did a lot of research on the internet before my trip, this hostel was ranked among the best and I do not regret my choice to stay here. The hostel has an excellent staff of 20-somethings... more
