My husband and I spent the first four nights of our 3 week holiday in Brasil at "La Maison" From the moment we arrived, to our departure, Christian, the manager and his team went beyond and above to ensure that our stay was confortable. Breakfast comprised of fresh fruit and juice everyday, plus all the yummy brazilian baked bread with... More

The hotel is impeccably managed by Christian who made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble, he even managed to get a fabulous dinner cooked for us when we arrived late. Our room (one of the ones overlooking the pool) was very good.

Staying at La Maison lives up to its name, it does indeed feel like you are lucky enough to be staying with well-heeled friends or relatives, who wait on you hand and foot but offer you all the privacy you need. It is a bit tucked out of the way, discreetly perched in one of the wealthy neighbourhoods in Rio.... More

I have stayed at La Maison twice. first in February of 2014 and again in March of 2015, in both instances the room, staff and food could not be better. This is a great place. However last year I stayed at the hotel from Saturday to Wednesday. This year I stayed from Thursday to Saturday.\ The difference is that the... More

A 24 hour flight and an airline limousine drive from the airport, and we arrived at La Maison’s address, but no sign anywhere in the street. Rung the bell, but no reply, drove up and down the street, asked people in the street, and finally took a right turn, saw the same house number and rang again. Had to give... More

We have stayed at this hotel for 7 days and the level of service is excellent. Firstly the location is really good, it is a 15 minute stroll to Gavea and taxis are easy to organise via the hotel to take you to Leblon or Ipanema and theses cost approx £4. As you are up in the hills you have... More

The hotel is stunning - both the rooms and communal areas are tastefully decorated with incredible views. The room we stayed in (Copacabana suite) was immaculate - spotlessly clean, well decorated and had a very comfortable, large bed. Excellent service from Christian and Alessandro - they helped us to arrange activities (where our lack of Portuguese meant we couldn't easily... More

My husband and I stayed at La Maison for 9 nights and from the moment we arrived (much earlier than expected!) the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for our host Christian, who was always so happy to help (and all his restaurant recommendations were spot on!) as was his colleague Gabriel who... More

The service provided by Christian, Gabriele, and Jack was truly outstanding! The house, pool, and grounds are gorgeous and very comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent and served on your individual timing. An excellent dinner is also available for tired travelers. The location does require extensive use of taxis, which are not very expensive. Overall, a truly outstanding stay for our first... More

WE always try to stay at boutique hotels, and avoiding the big hotel chains, so for our first trip to Rio we picked this little gem to ease us in. 5 rooms, in total, great lounges, pool area and breakfast room. Staff were perfect. This is a perfect location for couples wanting to chill out before hitting Rio's night-life or... More

Dear Philip, As posted in response to your wife's review, we are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused by the French family at the end of your stay. It is really regretable and unfortunate.
