Overall, Windsor Martinique Hotel was pretty good for Rio I think. Here's what I think: Pros: Free breakfast-pretty much the same selection every morning but the fruits were really good. Juices were good. Coffee was good. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, some sort of sausage, pastries and cereals. Shower had commando strength! I had no complaints there. Always had hot... More

Hotel was clean but basic and within easy walking distance to the beach but a long way from downtown tourist sites. The room was very small and an odd shape with very basic amenities. Breakfast was very good and staff helpful.

Mid priced place one block from the beach in section 5. Small but nice, clean rooms with good AC and bed. The breakfasts were nice and fairly comprehensive with some variations each day that was included in the price. They give you an umbrella and towels for the beach. Good plumbing. The staff was very friend and helpful and they... More

Just came back from Rio and I stayed at this hotel for few nights with one of my friends. I have to say everyone was super nice and friendly, very professional and extremely helpful. The best experience Ever! Our hotel was in a very convenient location, close to the beach and a lot of shops and good restaurants. Special thanks... More

This hotel offers all you need for a short stay in Rio. The staff are really helpful and have good English. It is round the corner from Copacabana Beach but probably not as expensive as actually facing the beach, but it makes no difference. My room was "compact" but clean and comfortable. The restaurant is open most of the time,... More

Arrived late at the hotel so we were very thankful that the hotel receptionist spoke fluent English and cleared our check-in in record time so we could head to our room (702) and sleep as it was past midnight. All the hotel staff (front desk receptionists and restaurant attendants) were very friendly and helpful all through our stay. Breakfast was... More

This hotel is half a block off the Copacabana beach near the tail end. The great thing about this location is you can take a quick stroll over to the Copacabana beach or walk about 25 minutes to Ipanema. We found the area that hotel is located to be pleasant, we walked during the day and night with no issues... More

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights during Carnivalle week and went to the Sambodromo. The Martinque is in a great position for the street parties that occur daily, and Copacabana beach. Staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is also very nice. The rooms do require upgrading and renovating and were small.

I'll keep this short. Hopefully, I can address some questions that I had before staying here: 1) Breakfast is included in the price. They have an assortment of pastries, eggs, sausages, bacon, fresh fruits and juices. We enjoyed it greatly. 2) Wifi worked great for my laptop, iPad, and iPhone, both inside the hotel room and in the lobby. 3)... More

Peter and I stayed in this hotel early this month for 4 days and I can honestly say that it is one decision we found wise, eg, in terms of access to the beach, places like Cuscovado and the Pao de Acucar, city centre, etc and also in terms of getting value for money. If you stay in one of... More
