This hotel is at the north end of Copacabana district and 3 blocks away from the beach. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, but noisy. The floors are all solid marble and the walls are paper thin. Scraping chairs, conversations and TVs can be heard clearly. Despite the clean room, the 'whirlpool' bath was stained and mouldy. Expect the... More

I've stayed at Royal Rio so many times I've stopped counting. It is a large hotel, with large rooms. Cleaning is a highlight. Very good breakfast. I always have a very good time at this hotel. Swimming pool and fitness center (both at the roof of the building) are particularly small, but enjoyable. Business center still have some slow and... More

After searching Rio hotels for hours online it seemed like every hotel was expensive and had very variable reviews which range from “I love you reviews” to “I hate you reviews”. We selected the Royal Rio Palace on proximity to Copacabana beach, price and not too many bad reviews. So what was it like? In any other city in the... More

I spent a week with my wife and my 3 years old son. It is like 2 blocks from Copacabana beach near the world known Copacabana Palace hotel. It is actually in a very safe neighborhood. Very nice breakfast. Excelent but expensive room service. Taxis you call from.mobile apps like 99taxi are very safe. You can trust on them. We... More

We have just stayed here for 4 nights and the bedroom was fine, breakfast good, swimming pool and roof terrace lovely. It is a convenient location just a couple of blocks from Copacabana. We had no hassle from pickpockets or seedy characters. I just have to comment how helpful the receptionists were. We were caught up in the Air France... More

Rio is known for its lack of decent hotels... However, staying here during the World Cup was fine. The Fan Fest and the beach were blocks away, as was the metro. Rooftop pool is very cool. Rooms are very spartan... the leaflet explaining all the STD's you could get in Brasil is decidedly a low end touch, I expected to... More

We stayed 4 night in a triple room. Basics of an international hotel are there, with limitations... Room and bathroom OK Very large breakfast buffet Conveniently close to metro station and beach. BUT: 1 day no cleaning of the room. We had to call twice 7 and 8 pm! The next day reception did not care at all of it.... More

hotel is good , rooms are spacious, laundry is dangerous , they burnt a silk scarf, breakfast is ok but served twice,??, hotel good for tourists, bring your own body guard to stop to be harassed, a specialty of the characters around the hotel is discretely throw goo on your shoes and clean them at a cost, of course, dont... We spent is this hotel 3 nights in July. The hotel is very close to Copacabana beach (3 blocks from the beach). We had a big room for us and our daughter, very nice compared to other 4 star hotels in other cities in Brazil. Bathroom ok also. Breakfast: very good and diversified, but the restaurant seats seems to us... More
