The rooms are old fashioned and in dire need of modernization. After a leak in the toilet, and a rather large spider in the shower in the toilet an an airconditioner that could have been considered noise pollution, we were moved to our second room after a few hours on our first night. The air-conditioners are extremely noisy and it... More

Stayed here 6 times now, nice location........but the rooms can do with some maintenance. It feels like the 1980`s. Rude staff, wake up calls were forgotten, problems with the check out (with regards to payments covered by my agent) and very poor food when it comes to room service. The restaurant is only marginally better! All in all, my verdict:... More

Augusto's is in a good location, handy for sea front and easy to take a bus from there. Our room had very noisy air conditioning and the service lift ground its way up and down 13 floors most of the night.

Just got back from Rio (5th Dec 2013) after an enjoyable one week stay at Augusto's Copacabana Hotel. Excellent room / breakfast / service / location--close to Beach / Shops / Resturants / Church. The Staff were very friendly and helpful especially Captain Rudolfo at the door, Dimas and Gleise at the desk. Les & Winnie Kerr

There were some positive and negative things on our stay: Good: the bed was confortable, it was quiet at night, location was close enough to the beach and to main bus stops, food (dinner) was good quality, you can change money at the hotel Bad: we had to pay for wi-fi (when it was advertised otherwise on their website), breakfast... The staff were very helpful, fluent in English and concerned. If building work made the place noisy that was not their fault. The only real complaint was a lack of hot water at the beginning and end of my stay.

We stayed there for 2 nights. When we entered, we suffered a flash back to the past, sometime between the 80's or beginning of the 90's. I think that "Old fashion" is the correct word to describe both the lobby and rooms. The staff was attentive. The room's size was ok, as well as the bathroom. We had hot water... More

This 3 star hotel is located minutes away from the famous Copacabana beach. There at a few supermarkets and food stalls along the street. A launderette just next to the hotel. The reception staff were very helpful but without a smile. All the staff in this hotel do not know how to smile which seem pretty unfriendly. Our room was... More

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst we visited Rio. The hotel is extremely well located, only a 5 minute walk from Copacabana beach - which was brilliant! The hotel staff were very friendly, especially on our last day when they helped us to check-in online for our return flight and printed off all of our boarding passes for us... More

Bad service, unpolite lady at reception desk. Air conditioner was not working The hotel needs a restoration and staff training. Positive points, night staff was nice, the gentlemen at the door in the morning very polite and location, just few blocks from copacabana beach.
