As a solo female traveller safety can be an issue in this area. The male door staff always assisted me with luggage, taxis and recommended places to go, and times to do attractions so that I was safe. Very friendly service.

This place exceeded most of my expectations. It's in a great location, near Copacabana beach and around the corner from a subway stop. The room was nice, clean and big with cool features like controls to all the lights, ac, and television in the bed headboard. Huge clean bathroom with lots of hot water and pressure in the shower. Breakfast... More

Rodolfo and André in the reception made us feel at home. Most surprisingly, we were upgrated to the suite on the 13th floor after having hours of delay at the airport. We would gladly return to this hotel.

The hotel provided exactly what was needed; not much more, but just enough. The location, 3-4 blocks from the ocean, is ideal. There is a very nice rooftop pool, which we didn't use within our brief stay. Hotel staff were charming and helpful, directing us to a fabulous local seafood restaurant that we returned to for a full serving of... More

Very close to Copacabana Beach, restaurants and stores. Staff is very helpful, specially Paulo and Rodolfo. There is a laudry nearby, which is good. The rooms are clean and not noisy. The only problem was main the elevator, who wasnt working all the time, so we need to use the service elevator and the waiting was long sometimes. Other than... More

This hotel is in an excellent location for both the beach and all the tourist information centres that give you all the info you need. Clean, well presented and with an excellent breakfast offering, we enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it to other travellers.

This hotel is not very modern nor very basic, but it's well run, clean and in a good location, just down the street from Copacabana beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and also assisted in booking trips for me to all the main sights. I really enjoyed the breakfast, and the coffee was excellent. I'd stay here if... More

Keeping in mind I was there during the FIFA World Cup, I found this hotel well located if you were keen to take a short stroll to the beach or one of its many bars or eateries. Limited avaialability meant that we probably didnt have our choice of the best rooms on offer, but never the less, the rooms were... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
