We stayed here for our honeymoon in September 2014 for ten nights. The hotel was amazing, just off Copacabana beach in a prime time location. Our hotel room had a view overlooking the beach itself. The hotel is beautiful, especially the lobby. It was always clean and well maintained. We had a super deluxe room upstairs, with a massive super... More

The biggest plus for this hotel is its friendly staff and customer service - nothing was too much trouble. We arrived late at night and three of our friends were on a different floor. The next day I asked if we could be moved to the same floor as our friends and was asked to check with reception after breakfast.... More

I highly recommend this hotel for the kindness of the staff. The location is great, comfortable rooms, but most of all, everyone in the house is helpful and ready to go the extra mile for information, additional service and everything you might ask to make your stay great. I am sure that for my next stay in Rio this hotel... More

Based on the multiple good reviews from tripadvisor, and the price (which is low for Rio but far from cheap) we booked this hotel. The place was basic and average. By far this would not be a 4 star hotel most places in the world. The good: the location is only one block from the beach at the far end... More

The hotel is close to the beach. There is a good breakfast table. The biggest complaint would be that our room (third floor, close to the street) was noisy. The insulation in the windows and doors is not that great. The room could need a update, you can clearly see that it has had some years already.

This well located hotel, situated about 100 m from Copabcabana Beach, is within walking distance of much of Copacabana and a short bus ride to Ipanema and Leblón as well as to many other attractions such as Sugar Loaf Mountain in Urca, Botafogo or downtown Rio. It is within the Leme district, near the boundary with Copacabana at Avenida Princesa... More

Comparing most of the hotels in Rio, in terms of price , this one stands out as to the location and not exorbitant prices. It is just one block from the beach...good service and reasonable prices. Very close to shops, restaurants..

It has been my pleasure to know this hotel since 1975. I literally lived at the hotel for quite a time in the 1970's while I was working for Occidental Petroleum in Rio. I have no idea of how old this hotel is. I would describe it as classical and timeless. It appeals both to Brasilian and international travelers. The rooms... More
