I wouldn't describe the reception staff as being particularly warm but they were polite and professional. The wall behind the desk is covered with prominent notices about how the hotel will not tolerate prostitutes or sexual crimes against minors but that they do provide contraception if requested! This did not form a great first impression! The room, however, was very... More

we stayed in this hotel for one night. we had booked a few days previous and had booked a suite however we were emailed the day before and told there had been a leak and we were put in a standard room. the hotel is in a good location, close to Copacabana etc. the staff were very nice, helpful and... I've been in This hotel last November. It was rated as Very Good in Copacabana. Unfortunately it wasn't. The atmosphere looked like as an 80s hotel: it needs to be redecorated and newly furnished. The room was Big and the restroom too. Whe found very dirty sheets!!! They brought us the sheets but they didn't made the beds. We had... More

Stayed at this hotel in March 2015 on a vacation with my kids. The location is a few blocks from the beach and near many restaurants & shopping. Good starting point for exploring Rio. The room was clean reasonable size. Breakfast had a good selection for starting out your day.

When paying about £50 a night in Rio one is always a little concerned about what they will arrive to. Whilst this is not the Copacabana Palace this is a perfectly reasonable hotel, rooms are big and comfortable, the location is good the staff are nice and I had no complaints. If you don't rely on a hotel for entertainment... More

A basic but clean hotel with good size rooms in a great location. 2 minute walk from copacabana beach and all the amenities of copacabana. Staff are helpful and friendly and breakfast is fine for a basic start to the day. Can be quite noisy - you can hear other people having a shower and flushing the toilet all the... More

It is located in a good street in Copacabana, which is a very good place to be (although, after being there, if you go for vacations I better recommend the zone of Ipanema). It has a small swiming pool on the roof. I rented a room with a jacuzzi. Very good, although a bit old.

Its cheap but there are better places to stay for the same money. Bad bits - Decor is tired and dated. Slow internet and dirty bathrooms. Good bits - friendly staff, large rooms and an OK breakfast. Little tip - Ask to be put on the back of the hotel as the windows do not keep any traffic noise out... More

We stayed twice at Benidorm with a break of 2 nights in between. On the first visit we had a room on the 9th floor facing the rear of the hotel. The room was big, bed comfortable and the WiFi was good. My only complaint would be the air con was very loud. On the second visit we had a... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
