Tucked away in the hills of Santa Teresa, overlooking the Silvestre Favela, with views of Pao de Acucar, Cosme Velho, and Cristo de Redentor, the Rio Palazzo is a romantic getaway from the hustle and bustle of Rio de Janeiro. Ambiance: The building is a classic Santa Teresa mansion transformed into a luxury boutique bed and breakfast. The common spaces... More

I was in Rio palazio for 2 weeks. This is a very small bad and breakfest with 5 rooms in different levels of comfort and price. I booked a standart room with a shared bathroom, however because a laxiury room was free I stayed in that beutifull room for my first week with no extra charge. Than I moved to... More

We spent three nights at Rio Palazzo with family, where we had the two rooms on the top floor. The view from the balcony outside one of the rooms was good and made it easy to see all the way to Pao de Acucar as well as up to Corcovado, and plenty of green space. First the positives: If you're... More

Rio de Janiero doesnt hold as such a memorable vacation if it werent for this hostile and the people there. It was such a homely, socially proactive vacation site that would be ideal for people that want to get the true feel for the social life of a normal Brazilian local. For a family of 4, not any one of... More

Stayed at the Rio Palazzo for 4 nights, the first stop on our honeymoon trip round Brazil. Adam and Paulo are great hosts, super-friendly and welcoming (they arranged for flowers and bubbly in our room on arrival and were able to offer advice on transport, places to go etc). The hotel itself is an incredible building, like something from a... More

We had a great stay at Rio palazzo to end our month long South American trip. They were so accommodating, even when we arrived at 530am one morning, still taking us and giving us our room early to sleep off the jetlag. Adam gave us great local tips on seeing the sights, and Paulo was so lovely and welcoming and... More

The view of Rio and the Jesus Christ statue was absolutely breathtaking! Everyone at Rio de Palazzo were so welcoming and entertaining which resulted in an awesome relationship between us guests and them even after our stay. Overall, it was a tremendous experience that everyone needs to try out.

Adam and Paolo were the perfect hosts - the breakfasts were delicious, the room was pristine and well appointed and the view is incredible. Santa Teresa is quiet and a great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of Rio, but only a 20 minute cab rid from most of the hotspots. Excellent value for money.

I stayed here for 4 nights during the World Cup. The staff was very helpful and very well informed of the area. The beds were very comfortable and great breakfast. I highly recommend it! Great hospitality!
