The rooms are basic and probably in the need of a refurbishment soon, however, they are clean and comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location as only one block away from Copacabana Beach. The hotel was also located near plenty of banks and a little supermarket. A few blocks away there's a metro station and a post office and... More

We ended a three month tour here. The hotel though dated was clean, had large rooms and in an excellent location one block from Copacabana Beach. The room included continental breakfast and the restaurant on the 13th floor overlooked Copacabana. The breakfast included cheeses, meats ,eggs, breads, good coffee. Service was polite and efficient including use of their computer and... More

We stayed here as part of a tour. Our room was on the 9th floor. It was large and clean. Showers were hot. Breakfast on the 13th floor gave you great views over Copacabana Beach, which was only a block away. The food was standard. Across the road was a great bakery - yum. The hotel was close to supermarkets,... More

Rio gets such bad press about safety that I was pretty apprehensive when I arrived there. I stayed in this hotel which is in Copacabana and a block from the beach in a good neighborhood. I had nothing to worry about. I paid $100 per night (which is very reasonable) & got a large room with attached bathroom and a... More

I just stayed there & gladly for only one night. The room had mold on the ceiling & the bath was stained by rust. When I turned on the water orange rusty water came out. The bed had a plastic cover & the overall feel of the place was more than tired. The staff do try but no one really... More

Stayed in a room with three beds and good sized room and bathroom. Only one lift was working and so if you stayed on the higher floors you had to wait for a while, as walking up the stairs reminded me of a medieval turret!! Breakfast was adequate.

We are a italobrasilian family, we have been there 5 days in august 2011. We do think it's a good and honest hotel. Who wrote bad about it is just people who want to pay as a 1 star hotel finding services as a 5 star hotel. the problem is with them, not with the hotel. Ask for a room... More

We were agroup of two persians. The front desk guys were depondable informatively but breakfast and room quality was very basic. The most hated part of this hotel is the smelly cheap detergent which they use to clean the surfaces, teerible ,in a way that u always remember u this hotel as a first world war chemical wepons,But the only goodness is... The only redeeming quallity is the front desk staff. Very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Room was substandard. There were 3 "beds" which consisted of a boxspring on a wood platform, an actual mattress on a wood platform and a vinyl wrapped chunk of foam on a wood platform. I was lucky enough to experience the boxspring the first night. Realized... More

It also takes a lot for me to write a review as well and after staying here I was very pleased with the stay. Girst of all it is a 2 star hotel and people need to understand that. The staff were briliant and went over and beyond their duties to help us. Yes the rooms and are little dull... More
