Possible the worst hotel I have stayed in staff friendly and helpful but you get the impression that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. No bar facilities available but the front desk were not aware? Room serve was a 50 minute wait

Stayed here for around a week at the end of December . Having read some of the reviews on TripAdvisor, I was apprehensive about staying here but my travel agent had booked and paid for the accommodation so didn't have a choice. I will say, it is not as bad as I thought. Our room was clean and spacious. (I... More

To summarise, this is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. If you have an alternative I would strongly consider it. 1 / the air conditioning did not work, and there was a huge hole above it in the wall, so even if the unit started it would not do a very good job 2 / the windows were... More

The service is not too bad, the hotel is mediocre, location okay. The problem is the hotel management. Ridiculously rude, arrogant and stupid. I could write a thousand words trying to describe the whole story during my stay there, but I can summarize everything in one sentence: they basically STOLE from me, by taking the chance to overcharge a service... Nice hotel in nice location, in the heart of the Copacabana neighborhood and just a few minutes walk from parks, the beach, pubs, nightclubs, supermarkets and so on. Swimming pool with nice views of the area, CLEAN and confortable. (a bit old fashion... but ok) Good Breakfast, nice fruits and yogurt! you should try as is reasonable price/quality.

Be careful with this Hotel, the service is awful, and you will pay 120€ a night. At the reception I was informed the internet was 5€ a day. If you want a safe-box you will have to pay also a extra 1,5€ a day. Now the surprise: if you don't pay the safe-box ou will have to sign a paper... More

When we first arrived at the hotel we got a nice impression. W were very well taken care of by the man standing outside the hotel, he carried our bags and were very nice and polite. Then we got to the reception to check in. The man helping us was very arrogant and not polite at all. It´s supposed to... More

This is one of the best cost-bennefit hotels in the area, especially regarding location at Toneleiro street, inbthe heart of the Copacabana neighborhood and just a few minutes walk from parks, the beach, pubs, nightclubs, supermarkets and so on. There are some issues worthy commenting. #First the good ones: -location is great -staff is polite and helpful -nice last-floor swimming... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
