The best about this 3*** hotel is how close it is to Copacabana beach. Like very, very close. It is not very expensive for what it has to offer, a nice and clean room with shower and breakfast included (although it will not be a very rich one). I went to Rio 3 years ago, in October but this websit... More

I stayed at the APA Hotel December 2015 and really enjoyed my stay. The reception staff and the porters were really pleasant and always helpful. It's pretty close to Copacabana beach and a clean well kept hotel. Breakfast area is small but clean and the coffee was the best I tasted anywhere in Brazil. If you want a nice hotel... More

This hotel was perfect for us, we have been travelling for four months and wanted somewhere a bit nicer to stay for our last destination without breaking the bank and this place was perfect, our room was clean, big and comfortable with a good AC unit and lovely powerful and hot shower! The hotel let us bring our own food... More

Simple ans small hotel with really good rooms. All with balcony. The breakfast is ok and complete. The positive: The attention from the staff. They are always (always!!!) smiling and prompt to help. The location could not be better.... Also the prices are really ok for copacapana. It is my choice here!

I stayed at Apa Hotel during my 3 cities Brazil tour. They have great customer service. The hotel is close to Copacabana Beach and it is really accessible to buses and train. However, the elevator was tiny, the room had a smell and water not working for over half an hour after my arrival. They purposely make sure that only... More

My friend and I found Apa after booking budget accommodations at a hostel called Copinha, which was so awful (and i've stayed in some bad places) that we had to leave. Apa was such a nice change. Clean, big rooms with balconies. Very helpful staff, especially Joaquim (spelling? sorry!) who was just as nice and helpful and accommodating as you... More

The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful with organizing tours. It within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The rooms were small but clean. It isn't a modern hotel but it is in a great location and that was good. Instagram: @tommiesox

Is a small hotel, the room was comfortable, is two blocks from copacabana beach, it has AC, cable TV and freebreakfast. Location is very goog, they speak spanish which in my case was of great help. And Is close from some bus stops where you can take a bus to go to the corcovado or pao do acucar.

Hotel Apa is basic with small rooms, but provides a good price for the location. Friendly staff and clean. Breakfast is the usual Brazilian hotel fare of breads, ham, cheese, fruit, coffee and juice. Consistent and adequate. Plenty of inexpensive eateries in the area.

Hotels are expensive in Rio, especially in Copacabana area. You have to search hard for bargains even in low seasons. This 3 stars hotels are well positioned in Rua Republica do Peru, less than 5 minutes walk to metro stations, the Copa Beach, and the bus stop to Urca and Ipanema are just outside the hotel. The airport buses ( from... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
