I stayed in hotel Gloria 5 days in Janyary 2007. Outside it looks like a palace but actually it was little bit a disappointment. Rooms are quite old and decayded. In European standarts hotel is about 2 stars, but it has a great history :) I love the city however. more

The only negative thing that casted shadow on my otherwise wonderful stay in Rio is indeed Hotel Gloria. You can feel that it had been a glamarous venue at its heydays, but at the moment it is far from being 5 star place. The service is terrible and the management do not simply care.
