We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of our dream trip to Rio & The Amazon. We also had a reservation here for 2 nights at the end of our trip (after spending 2 days in Manaus & 5 days on the Amazon River), but had decided by the end of the first day that we would be... More

Dirty, smelly, poorly maintained with dirty bedding and a balcany (2nd floor) sliding door that did not lock. Quite the worst hotel i've ever stayed at. Positives - it was close to the beach and I only stayed one night. By the way the club next door is a brothel so you ge the gist

This Hotel is probably the worse hotel I ever stayed in my life and here are some reasons: - Dirty - Old - Very Expensive - Horrible management and Service - Food is bad - Beds are very uncomfortable - Many problems with plumbing, air conditioning and even mold in some rooms - If you loose the key they charge... Just arrived here today at 0700hrs this morning. Not a problem that we couldn't get into our room till 1500hrs we were expecting that. The corridors are very dark, we was not shown to our room. On walking in we were very disappointed. In no particular order. The toilet is dirty, the room is very small, the shower cubicle looks... More

Stayed here for a few nights during the world cup. At that time we obviously paid an inflated price, but at 'normal' times I would think this hotel is in the range of a budget / average hotel (perhaps 3 stars if one was feeling generous). The big plus for this place is the location. Literally 50 metres from the... More

Despite all bad reviews we took our chances with booking via Booking.com for a 3 night stay during the World Cup at Oceano Hotel. We had no choice as all other hotels were booked in Copacabana. I'll be honest I was expecting a lot worse. The hotel is dated and the customer service wasn't the best but the location makes... More

I stayed here for a few nights during the World Cup and I was very pleased with how close it was to the beach. Restaurants and stores are all around. The price wasn't too bad either. The room was nice and clean. The staff was very great for the most part, all knowledgeable and fluent in English. The bellmen helped... More

The price of this hotel is unbelievable, you should pay only 10% of the hole price. It is not worthed any more. I have a "problem" with the reservation so I had to pay some more...unbelievable. I paid for a ocean view room, i got nothing. The room has a tiny ugly bed, the a/c doesnt work, and you have... More

This is, by far, the biggest dissapointment ever. The hotel is as bad as in all the bad reviews below, actually, it worse. Spent there three nights with my boyfriend during the first days of the World Cup. Extremely overpiced, very old hotel. The location is perfect. And that's it. We saw a few cockroaces, during then the breakfast and... More

I've just returned from Brasil, and having spent 2 nights in this hotel felt compelled to share my review, for £190 per night its the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. The plus point as many reviews note is its location only 50 metres from the beach front. However the rooms are grubby and dated for... More
