Fantastic location only 2 minutes walk from Copacabana beach and the nearest metro station. Rooms were decent sized (very large bathroom with sauna and jacuzzi surprisingly), but air conditioning was very loud regardless of what power setting you put it on. Breakfast was good, a bit boring after a few days though.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July during the World Cup. Positive - Front desk and staff in general was very helpful - Breakfast was alright - One street away from Copacabana beach Negative - Rooms were old and tired - Hotel is on a shady street - Wi-fi not good at all

Was here for the world cup. We normally stay in hostels so this was a diff experience for us in brasil. Safe area. Lots around. Easy to get to Ipanema Leblon, Lapa etc. PErfect for world cup as fan festivities were in copacabana beach. I prefer the ipanema/leblon area (where we went last year). THe service is great, the staff... More

After reading the previous reviews I will say that fortunately we had a relatively good experience here. We stayed during the FIFA WC and booked this hotel about 9 months in advance based on what was available from FIFA and the tripadvisor reviews (which were all better than the other places that were available). We were here 4 nights and... More

Pros: Location close to the neach, a nice (although small) rooftop pool. Cons: basic rooms, outdated furniture, noisy air conditioning unit. But still better than the noise coming from the street (and I was on the 10th floor...), which is closed to traffic during the weekend and occupied by groups of drunk people (or, in my case, by soccer fans).

Pros: Good location, close to the beach, felt very safe. Very cold drinks in the refrigerator. Fully functioning bathroom. Cons: Cramped rooms with outdated, decaying furniture. A slow and beaurocratic staff. Terribly slow elevator. The view from my room was of two unkempt buildings...very dismal. The air condition unit was noisy and the type that hangs outside. It was raining... More

We paid $1,000 for 3 nights' stay here. Our unpleasant experience at this hotel started when we arrived. We got there around 1pm, was told the room was not ready yet and it would take just a few more minutes. We waited in the lobby and watched a bit of football on TV. Not seeing the sign of any room... Stayed here on the opening night of the World Cup, and was impressed that we got into our rooms on arrival at 10:30am which was really appreciated after a long flight. Had a look a the rooftop pool, more of an oversized bath, and the gym is also here. Seems a bit of a waste, a decent bar for sunset... More

After traveling throughout Brazil for World Cup, it was a pleasure that everyone at the front desk spoke English!! Most of Brazil does not so it was refreshing. The location is great for the Fanfest but I must say that it was very loud!! Bring earplugs during soccer games or Carnival (From what I have been told). Breakfast good and... More

A quick visit here during England's sad time in Brazil. Functional with a roof top pool and a lot closer to the Copa than we thought. A 2 minute walk and the right end for the Fanzone. Our room view was the worst, i.e. the back looking out onto the hotel a/c system but the taxi booked fo ra 5... More
