Fantastic Hotel. Great restaurant, conceirge was amazing - he got me a great seat at the Sambadrome!. Location was perfect and the front desk staff was extremely helpful. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Rio.

Clean and upmarket hotel, with free breakfast in the morning and a free welcome drink. All the staff were friendly, although not all spoke English, but we managed to get by. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Right on Copacabana, ideal location.

This is a wonderful hotel. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room was sparkling clean and the little refrigerator held our food perfectly. The service in the restaurant was fabulous and the food was great. Marianna is an exceptional and delightful front desk employee. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great Location, but room (I got the "luxury" at 11th floor) was nothing more that an average one. Ants was all over, Bathroom very basic with a lot of broken parts (window, floor, exposed pvc...). Only one (1) International TV channel in the cable lineup. The Hotel is rated 4 stars but, in realit, is only basic 3 stars. Half... More

We arrived late night after a delayed Tam flight only to discover that the desk clerk could not find our reservation and was rather disinclined to help. Our tour guide intervened and we were put in Room 1106. 1106 - twin room, cramped, bathroom had mildew in the shower area and the whole room smelled like wet dog. The next... More

Our room was not that big but enough for me and my daughter. Most important was the cleanest it was! People in the front desk were completely bilingual, courteous and willing to help. They are very informed and suggested the best tours and places to visit. Also they recommended good restaurants and its specialties. We contacted a personal driver from... More

So happy that we got a place right on the beautiful Copacabana beach! This hotel suited our needs while in Rio but didn't exceed them. We really wanted to give 3.5/5 rating. The low-down: Pros: Great location Pretty decent breakfast selection with both cold and hot options Clean facilitates and room Gym (only 3 pieces of equipment but has a... More

MMMM - how to start, as it was new year prices over 400 usd and min 3 nights - on that basis we had 5 star expectations and got 3 star actual treatment at best -as with other reviews the front desk is shocking-90% of time can't be bothered picking up the phone, we booked the new year eve event... What an amazing experience. We read many reviews after we booked this hotel and some had negative reviews about cold water or lack of food at breakfast, etc. I can be honest...EVERYTHING was perfect. Breakfast we always ate way too much and the selection was different each day. We always had hot water...even though sometimes we wanted and used cooler... More

I was drawn to this hotel for it being right across the street from the beach. The rates were reasonable since I did not go during their high season. But don't let that discourage you because it was still fairly hot in the mid 70's every day I was there. As for the hotel, it helps to have free breakfast.... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
