The hotel seemed to be under maintenance while we stayed there, but that dident bother us. The front desk did speak perfect english and helped us arrenge some tours. The rooms was clean. Internet was almost non-existant, unless you stand on some random sports in the room ;p. It did work good in the lobby. Overall a average hotel, with... More

First let me say that the standard for hotels in Rio is about a star below the standards in the USA and Europe. Hotel rooms in Rio tend to be small, plain and generally uninspired. With that said, the Ibiza actually exceeded my expectations. The room was clean. The lobby was simple, but did have a bar area, unlike many... More

We were here for 3 Nights. We wanted a family room or a room for 2 adults 2 children (age 10,12). The rooms were to small to fit extra beds. The staff was friendly and set us up with the Suite the last nite, which was about the same price as a doubleroom. 2 blocks from the beach and close... More

Hotel needs a revamp, a bit dated interior, hotel is comfortable for a nights sleep. Not so friendly service at the front desk. Breakfast was OK, Parking was a problem as we had our own car. I would not recommend this hotel unless your forced to take it

The taxi driver recommended this hotel to us. The location is good. There was a nice breakfast in the morning. What we didn't like: room was small, the bed took up most of it, the bathroom was one of the tightest enclosed spaces I've ever encountered in a hotel. Overall just okay buy I wouldn't repeat.

The hotel's service is one of the worst I have ever stayed in. I had a room on the 6th floor and the noise from the air conditioner could wake up the beach bums sleeping two streets down. The linen on arrival was blood stained, on going downstairs as when I tried to call reception there was no answer, I... More

I stayed there for 3 days with a group. When they left I booked the room for another night. I never should had done that. The recepcionist agreed a little discount price with me. So i found it nice. It wasnt much but at least something. On the day I booked the room, they locked the room for us as... More

We stayed there as a family of 5; 2 adults and children from ages 10-16. As we did our Check-Out the receptionist at the front desk tried to charge us $USD 7 extra for using the minibar, with the receipt containing details and hours before we got to the hotel and checked in. The worker acted very rudely, and we... More

Sayed for 3 nights Feb/13, location in the Copacabana area of Rio is excellent, only 2 blocks from the beach. The hotel staff have a very low level of English if any at all. The hallways are very dark, the lights come on with motion detection, sometimes not at all. Breakfast buffet was poor, waiters would eat from the plates... More

Not best hotel in area for prices charged. Definitely in need of an update in terms of decor. The bellhop staff were more helpful than the waiters or front desk. Probably the worlds slowest wi-fi, both free and paid. As others suggested look to Ipanema or further down Leme beach.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
