First what I disliked: the coffee, the internet which required restarting everytime. The unfriendly exchange rate it is worst as to the exchange offices, but it is better than to the banks. I recommend to exchange in Copacabana or in Ipanema. The lots that I liked: Very well situated, just 4-5 minutes from a bus station and from Catete Metro... More

I stayed here as the event I was attending was hosted here. Small rooms with no sound insulation. The cleaning staff started their duties very early in the morning with walkie-talkies blaring and no consideration for travelers trying to get an extra hour of sleep. No decent shopping or restaurants nearby, especially if you are on foot as I was.... More

I stayed two days at this hotel. It is conveniently closed to the beach, and is a 5 minute walk from the large square where you can get on the shared van ride up to Corcovado to see Christ the Redeemer, if you're doing the touristy thing. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the air-conditioner is effective, which is... More

Stayed there for a conference at Edificio Manchete. So it was a good choice as the hotel is 5 minutes walking distance. Additionally it is located at the center and that can be very handy. On the other hand, I found the room quite tiny and as opposed to other areas in Rio it is not safe to go running... More

Stayed two nights pre South America tour. Good location for the two main attractions, we walked to largo do machado and took a bus for 51 reais each all the way to Christ the redeemer and back and the a cab to sugar loaf for 20 all between 130 pm and 5pm after our booked tour (bealocal) let us down.... This hotel was booked as a last minute change. But I'm glad I did. The rooms nice and clean. The staff was very helpful, They assisted me in getting my phone back from a taxi driver in Natal. It's close to bars, restaurant and shopping.

Clean room, confortable bed. Workers smiling and helpful. Great location, close to Lapa and City Centre. Great breakfast, full of options. Price affordable. Easy to get a taxi in the front door. Must pay R$ 5 for internet per day. I will return for sure!

This place does what it says on the tin. Basic facilities. Good breakfast. Staff could be more friendly - couldnt help but think they were 'facilitating', rather than 'hosting', their guests. N.B. The cleaners have very loud walkie talkies. Dont stay in a room next to their broom cupboard otherwise you will be woken up pre 6am.

This place is clean (this is the first which I checked in Brazil), has a good view from the roof, sauna, included a good breakfast. Close to Catete and center of Rio, near with subway station. In walking distance a good restaurants and cafes, plus you can find a grocery and pharmacy stores. Good place to stay!

This hotel was great!, based on me and my wife's experience considering the following: 1-Cleanliness (The rooms and are were super clean and well kept), 2- Area (it was walking distance to the main attractions - Copacapana, Pao de Acucar, train, buses, beach, bus to Corcorvado, restaurants, shops, banks, etc,), 3-Safety (this was in a very safe, residential, commercial area and...
