This hotel is located right in the centre of the city, ideal for business travel. Rooms are ok although very old fashioned and breakfast is quite good. Good service as well. The area is not so nice, very dark at nights and not very safe to walk around. The metro is 3 blocks away which comes very handed although at... More

This hotel is just down a few blocks from our office. It is very comfortable inside and the staff are all excellent and helpful. Please learn the Portuguese word for "thank you" because you feel like saying it all the time. I have done a fair amount of foreign travel and this hotel is one of the very best. I... More

Was due to stay 1 night but ended up staying for 6 due to work complications. Room was large and comfortable with good size bathroom, housekeeping was very thorough and usually at the same time each day. Lunch and dinner was buffet style with a good selection, I must admit that by the time I left I had tried most... More

Hotel is nice, clean and great hot shower. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Front desk was accommodating. Luciano and David were terrific help as bellman and also with getting around town. Small pool on top floor with nice views. Good spot for evening drink. Breakfast was good and coffee service excellent. Lots of choices. I cannot say the same... More

The hotel is very good, with excelent staff and helpfull, Mr Gilson at front desk is very professional and give the support. About the wifi, is little slow, the rooms are spacious, clean and with good furniture. The pool is not big as we can imagine with the photo. The relation quality/price is good. Unluckely is not near from copacabana... More

Ok hotel, small and cold pool, small yellow-orange rooms, fast internet, but poor coverage in the room, pretty noisy, bad neighborhood, nice staff, boring buffet dinner.... Order your meal at the rooftop pool. All in all an average hotel, fast internet (when you get a signal). If you are on business and just looking for a place to stay this... More

Stay there for a few weeks!! Pros: - Great Service stuff who speaks good English and very helpful - Clean beds and fairly decent room sizes - Nearby to business district Cons: - Limited selection for food (but maybe that's just me cause I stay there for so long) - Not a great location as it can be fairly dangerous... The hotel has a good standard for Rio de Janeiro. Stable wifi and a nice buffet for breakfast and lunch. I had nice steak dinner and all in all it was a comfortable stay. I was only here for a single night, but because I had stayed here previously check in was swift even though the reception was busy.

Walking into the reception on arrival was like walking into a busy complaints counter at a department store - long queues of people and lots of hustle and bustle. When I made it to the counter the staff seemed flustered and disinterested. The hotel itself has seen better days (probably the 1970s) and although it appeared cosmetically clean, one couldn't... My first room was so noisy that, even though it was noon, with all common daytime noises, I realized I'd have a hard time trying to sleep. My second room had a pronounced smoke stink from previous smoking guests - I believe! Not only that: the drywall in the bathroom was peeling off and the shower door was broken open... More
