When you go to Rio for Leisure you probably want to stay by Copacabana\Ipanema but I'd recommend to take also a night or two in centro (would recommend Thu\Friday). It's a short taxi ride from Lapa which is full of bars, amazing restaurants and nightlife (people dance samba in the streets) - this happens on Friday night. And walking in... More

Excellent rooms and exquisite restaurant. The hotel location is excellent if you're on a business trip, since it is located in the downtown middle, close to subway station. The hotel area may be dangerous at night, so don't wander around, specially if you are a foreigner tourist.

I stayed there recently for one night with breakfast included. The hotel is downtown and therefore if you are doing business downtown it is very convenient. The rooms were large, mine included a set of table and chairs in a separate annex to the room, but they are dated - as are the bathrooms. The room was very clean though,... More

My colleague and I stayed here at the end of a week of business meetings in Rio, having stayed in a highly unsatisfactory hotel earlier in the week. The Windsor is a good business hotel if you need to stay in Centro. It's well located and staff are very helpful and accommodating. Those at the front desk have good English... More

Due to weather in the USA, our flight from Rio was canceled. Tam Airlines gave us vouchers for dinner and a room at the Windsor Guanabara. We spent only about 6 hours at the hotel. We found it to be completely acceptable. The dinner buffet had decent options; the room was clean. I think the rating based on our short... More

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, great location for travelling if your not a beach bum and like the hustle and bustle of city life, about 60 BR from the Airport, use a company inside and they give you a ticket for a registered cab, they all speak english, very helpful. My room was always clean and good... More

I was in Barra for business and had to extend my stay during a long weekend. I tried to find a hotel in Copacabana, but everything was fully booked and I ended up at the Windsor Guanabara. I was of course initially a little disappointed that I could not stay anywhere near a beach, but I have to admit that... More

My room was quite large, comfortable and quiet, in the midst of bustling, noisy downtown Rio. The windows do an amazing job of muffling all noise. Other than that, I loved being downtown; it's not touristy but it's very exciting, with great food options and good people watching. Breakfast is abundant and varied. The rooftop tiny swimming pool is not... More

Spacious rooms with air-con, free wi-fi, towels and en-suite with an awesome shower! There is a small pool on the roof with good views of the city. There is also a sauna and small gym too. All staff were good and the buffet breakfast is an amazing spread of breads, fresh fruits, pastries and more - staff continuously walk around... More
