Great location - barely a block from the beach; I don't think there are any rooms with beach (or hardly any) view. Pleasant, clean, fairly spacious rooms w/clean bathroom, lots good cable/movie channels. Rooftop tiny pool w/good view and small bar. Rooftop restaurant as well; b-fast buffet (included) is phenomenal! Staff speak good English, but as prev. reviews have said,... More

Was definitely surprised at what a great hotel this was. I was aware that it wasn't a 5-star hotel, but was happily surprised by everything. Lobby, hallways and rooms were super clean. Staff was so nice and friendly. Our view from the 19th floor was great, saw the beach and the lagoon. Mini bar was well stocked, and pretty cheap.... More

The hotel is a bit older and I found the room to reflect that fact. The furniture was mismatched and odd. The bathroom, however, was really nice with a good shower, seperate bidet and a nice vanity mirror. I didn't really like that they charged extra to use the safe in the room - complete with old-timey and bulky lock... More

We recently returned from a few days at the Everest Rio. We had a great time and recommend the hotel. We have traveled to Rio before and checked out a number of hotels. For quality, price and location this one probably can't be beat. We are a family of four and had a large suite on a high floor. The... More

My wife and I just returned from a week at the Everest Rio. We've been to Rio many times before, we live in Santiago, Chile, and we speak fluent spanish and portuguese. We travel quite extensibly around the world. A few tips that can be of help to future travelers: 1) The location is very good, one block from beautiful... More

I had a wonderful time in Ipanema Beach primarily because my family and I stayed at the Everest Rio Hotel. The staff was friendly, accomodating and very professional. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. I had an oceanview that was spectacular. The hotel provides guests with a beach bag and towel for the short walk to the beach and... More

A friend and I stayed for a week in May. We arrived one day late and we missed our flight home(2 more days-what a pity!) and the manager was helpful in arranging a credit. I found all staff to be helpful and courteous. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to beach, shopping and restaurants. We even... More

I am currently living in the hotel as I am working in Rio. This is a good hotel especially for the money. Not a five star hotel as it is a bit older. However it is clean and they do have a good staff. It's a great location in Rio just a block off the beach in Ipanema. Many tourists... More

An ok hotel, but, near the beach and close to shopping and dining in Ipanema. The place needs a good refurbishing, but the rooms and facilities are adequate. The front desk staff needs some lessons in courtesy, but the bellmen are very friendly. An OK breakfast buffet in the rooftop restaurant is included in the room rate.

We just returned from Brazil, where we spent our first two nights at the Everest Rio. Because it was our honeymoon, we booked a Suite -- and we LOVED it! Great location, one block from the beach. The two rooms were HUGE, and well appointed. The bedroom had a large king size bed, and a sitting area, and the living... More
