I'm gonna start on the good parts of this hotel. The staff was good, albeit their system seemed really slow on doing anything. Breakfast was good as well, except for the part where you have to pay extra to use their Nespresso machine. The view from the rooftop is incredible, and the location is good. Now for the bad part.... The hotel is like a relic from the 70's, and not in a good way. Room: The room was quite noisy. Although I was on a higher floor away from the street (I requested this), the air conditioning switching on and off was quite loud all night (was too hot to not need some AC). The bathroom sink took forever... More

My family and I (inc. 3 small kids) stayed for 3 nights at Everest Rio in July 2014. I made an online reservation through Booking.com few weeks before we arrived in Rio. We stayed in the family room at the 10th floor. Before making the booking, I have read some reviews saying that this is an old hotel with old... More

Rooms old and outdated back to the 1970s. The rooms look nothing like in the picture here (false advertising).Rooms were not functional....needed rerepairs twice in 1 week. Not enough outlets to plug in laptop, mobile phone, ipad. Could not get the maids to give a proper cleaning each day. Only plus of this dump was the good location.

This hotel is in a wonderful location one street of the beach and close to shopping. The service is great everyone is really friendly. Both breakfast and room service was tasty and plentiful. The hotel its self is old and needs some work done. Our bathroom roof was falling down and was very dirty. Good hotel if you are looking... More

Just one block off the beach, this location is hard to beat. Whenever we travel to Rio we stay in this hotel. It is a Brazilian hotel with a mostly Brazilian clientele. We don't travel to Rio to stay in an American chain hotel. The breakfast bar on the top floor has plenty of choice. Our favorite tends to be... More

I would say this hotel had a lot of Good things to offer with some opportunities listed below Pros, Friendly staff very accommodating. They can arrange transportation to the airport. Great location between Ipanema and Leblon. A block away from the beach. The hotel can provide beach umbrellas and towels. Also, close to a lot of nice restaurants, boutiques and... More

The location is great: a block away from Ipanema beach and a couple blocks (other direction) from stores. The hotel rooms look like they were recently re-done (maybe around World Cup 2014?) and are stylish and comfortable. Caution is advised about rooms on lower floors --- I was first booked into a room on the 7th floor, which had a... More

Ipanema and Leblon are famous for old, overpriced hotels. Tourists would be better off staying at Copacabana where the hotels are much better value. But I have to stay in Leblon for business as I like to walk to the office. The Everest is in a great location, only one block from the beach and close to many restaurants. The... More

Brilliant location - just round the corner from Ipanema beach. The hotel has staff on the beach to give you a sun-lounger which is nice. It was easy to walk to Ipanema and Copacabana and there were good restaurants nearby. My room was very comfortable and cleaned beautifully every day. A bit dated - especially the bathroom - but it...
