This hotel was recommended to us by our travel agent, she also said she has stayed there and said it was a good choice. I was expecting more, since the price is still higher than what we would pay for a nicer hotel here in the USA. I would describe this hotel to be similar to a small hotel in... More

Stayed here for 5 nights on a business trip and found it much better than some reviewers. You're not in Manhattan or Mayfair, so it is different. All the services worked as expected, and the staff were all very helpful. It doesn't belong to a hotel group but to a resident owner. Very extensive self-service breakfast that caters for all... As seems to be the standard in Brazil, the rooms are Spartan and need a thorough upkeep. Noisy airco, flimsy sheeting and oldfashioned bathroom with the typical 'pluffy' Brazilian toiletseats. The swimmingpool is more kids size, so don't count on it. Breakfast at the tiny balcony is a pro. Internet is poor. Overall, the price/quality at BRL 330 per night... More

This Hotel is too expensive for the service and the rooms conditions. Rooms are old and bathrooms are even worst (dirty and rusty) and no safe available (broken). On the other hand the position is good between Copacabana and Ipanema and it is good for excursions. They need to renew everything it seems an hotel of 40 years ago, there... More

I had to take a picture of the bath tub to show the reception staff the reason that I could not possibly stay in the room. It was awful and the room was very shabby. They changed my room, which was then acceptable, but not good. The breakfast, staff and location are good.

Excellent location, clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff - great breakfast ! Recommend that you get a room as high up as possible to get a view. Location is brilliant for proximity to beaches, restaurants and shopping, and staff vey attentive at organising taxis etc;

This hotel is in a great spot, right between Copacabana and Ipanema. The rooms are spacious and clean. Get a room as high up as possible. We were on the 9th floor and had a balcony with a bit of an ocean view. The staff is moderately helpful but the breakfast is good.

Great location between Ipanema and Copacabana. Easy to walk to either beach area. Staff was very helpful. room was nice enough. Clean... quiet... all the basics Internet often only worked in Reception but it did work well there. I'd stay here again.

Just returned from a stay here- The pros- great location, staff is very nice and helpful with directions, taxis, etc, price isn't bad, wifi works well throughout the hotel, AC works well, and room/bathroom were overall very clean. The Cons- I read prior reviews about trying to get an upper floor, i tried several times but had no luck changing... More

I arrived late (1:00am) and even though I had asked for an upper room, I ended up on the 4th floor facing the busy street. In the morning I visited the front desk and asked if they could move me up. They had me check back at noon (check out time). When I did, they showed me 1103 and asked... More
