The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. However, the price of a double room seemed to us to be a bit steep. Everything was extremely old and slightly shabby, which we weren't expecting at that price. The location was great, right between Ipanema and Copacabana.

Of course the cost of accommodation was going to be high but that was expected during the World Cup period so cant really complain. We really didn't spend that much time in the hotel itself but overall there's very little we could complain about. Although finding prepaid sim cards was quite hard, WIFI is advertised throughout the hotel but it... More

Went there during the final of the World Cup, charging $600+ per night for a twin bed; which I won't pay more than $50 per night for this hotel if have option. Staying in room 903 Staffs are very nice and the food is not bad; however, that's pretty much it, the rest is just horrible. 1. First thing you... More

Stayed for 9 nights. Hotel room a bit old i.e bedding and design but I guess ok as you just sleep there. Won't recommend this hotel for the upper class people. Room clean. Bathroom smelly (drains) and shower in bath not so nice (using old plastic shower curtains). Lying on the bed you can smell the mould from the bathroom... More

The hotel is dated. The bedding is probably from the 80’s. Despite that, the hotel is clean. So if you are on a budget and want to stay on Copacabana beach (which is 1 block away), it is an option. The staff spoke English but would not assist in booking anything not through the hotel- we wanted to take the... More

I stayed for 3 nights during the World Cup. The location is excellent, 3 minutes walk to the beach and most amenities close by. The rooms were slightly tired, and the beds felt like they were not the best. The bathroom, on the other hand, was excellent with a very large, powerful shower. The breakfast room was ok, and the... At $550 a night I'm expecting a lot. Granted I am a hotel snob and there is a world cup going on... for $550 a night I would hope at least some modern standards. This place is a pit and what bothered me the most is that it smells like a public toilet you would find at a beach... probably... More

As many of the other reviews have said, this hotel is in a great location but the maintenance and service are too lacking to make the experience a good one. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from Copacabana beach. It is also very close to a market and each room has a small fridge which is convenient. The beds... More

Stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. The room was too simple and old...safe was really old and non-functioning. The telivision was the size of a computer monitor about 17" which was in the corner of the room. Bathroom was dark and old. Cleanliness was an issue. Breakfast was okay but saw a small cockroach on the tablecloth. The reception... More

Stayed from 25 - 27 June for a short visit and was immediately not impressed by the outlook of the hotel. Check in was some what smooth however, the room I got had a bad/foul smell of smoke and I was on a non-smoking floor! Breakfast was average and nothing much to shout about. At the same time, there's renovation... More
