We were given a room at the back, overlooking a court yard (noise from fan) Although room was big the bathroom had mold growing in every corner!! The only good things is the location, facing the ocean and breakfast was excellent. Staff were ok, only few spoke English.

We booked and paid the 2-bed room with balcony, as mentioned in the choices in the booking website we used. However, we were given a room on the 11th floor with a balcony, but with only 1 bed. We asked for 2 beds then we were shown a room on the 10th floor-- no balcony but the bed can be... More

The location is perfect right on Copacabana beach. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. They also spoke perfect English which is nice. The breakfast in the morning is delicious and had all types of fruits and breads. Only issue I had was that the floor had not been swept well so myself and a friend stepped on shards... More

My husband and I stayed two nights after Carnaval wrapped up. We booked through Expedia and before we left, we realized there was a balcony-view room facing Copacabana beach available, so we upgraded. I'm so glad we did. Our first hotel room didn't have a beach view, and this was such a pleasant change, even if you're not in the... More

I initially booked a room without the view and as soon as I saw it I knew that i had to move. The room was looking onto the building next door, it was very dark and the wooden window was rattling constantly. The price difference for the beach view room was really worth it, although these rooms are still old... More

The service was great, attentive.. the receptionists were friendly and spoke good English.. the room we stayed in was more than I had expected after reading other reviews.. It was clean and spacious.. no view but that wasn't necessary since we didn't spend much time in the room with Copacabana beach just across the street!! What a great location... within... More

Hotel location is perfect for tourist in Rio, centrally located at first row at Copacabana. It is obviously that hotel had its days in 70ies, 80ies and 90ies, but it kept its charm. For being tourist for 6-7 days, perfect place. Nice friendly hotel staff. Highly recommend. One disadvantage - there are sea view and NON sea view (back yard)... More

I am one that likes the charm of an older hotel, with its architecture, ornate moldings and style from another era. The location was great with our window (an older double hung window) looking right down on the Copacabana strip. All of the staff was very pleasant and helpful to me. Good breakfast and pretty comfortable bedroom. We also used... More
