We absolutely do not recommend staying here. The security guy - a two meter tall man - was agressive to my boyfriend as he asked him to remove the car out of the pavement (we put it there for a minute, just to pick someone as the hotel doesn't have a parking place). My boyfriend did it immediately and I... more

Wow! What a location! This hotel may be slightly tired and a little in it's late middle age but we couldn't fault it in any way. The staff were wonderfully helpful - the girls at breakfast were almost friends after a week there! Nothing was too much trouble. We had a dance hall of a room on the 6th floor... more

The rooms were extremely outdated and I was afraid to walk around in the barefoot. The beds were a little gross, the comforters were dusty and looked like they had never been cleaned. Also, a fellow female traveler had a hotel staff member follow her into her room! Luckily, she was unharmed, and the man was supposedly fired, but still... more

Stayed here during Carnival and it was easily the worst aspect of our entire trip. The hotel is run-down, and the rooms are dark and dingy. The "double bed" that we had reserved was two single beds pushed together (separate sheets and comforters). Any complaints were met with a shrug of the shoulders and "there's nothing we can do." Location... more

The hotel promised to send someone to pick us up at the airport, when we called them they said that the shuttle was out and they would reimburse our taxi expense (about $48). They didn't reimburse us! When we left the shuttle was out again and they didn't even offer to pay the taxi this time, we had to pay... more

The nightmare started the first day we arrived. Unfortunatelly, we arrived early morning and the check in time was 15:00!!!!! We have to wait a lot!!! Like for 3 hours. After that, they gave us a room. Room 911. Pretty big, but the paint and everything seems quite old. Including the paint of the bathroom and bathtub. In a word:... more

The hotel itself is no prize. The rooms are a pretty good size. Ours had two twin beds, and large windows facing the ocean. A small fridge and tv are in the room with large closets. Between the drawers in the closet and the dresser, there are plenty of places to put your clothes. Though the room description says "safe... more

I cannot believe that some people wrote favorable reviews of this place....what a nightmare!! I was traveling on official business and thus, my accomodations were already paid for. When I walked into the room, I turned around and walked right out...no kidding. There was a newer Marriott next door, and I checked in there at my own expense. The other... more

I agree with the review of the person from New Jersey. The review is informative, well balanced and accurate. Contrary to another reviewer, I have never lost anything, never had any problems, found the staff courteous and did their best to speak English to those unable to speak Portuguese, and generally ran the hotel in a courteous, efficient manner. This... more
