Located between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches a couple of blocks from the waterfront this hotel is nothing fancy, in fact our particular room didn't even have a window which looked outside but instead looked into a shaft of some kind. However, the price is good and you don't go to Rio to spend much time in your bedroom so it... More

Our agent had booked us in here - it was very basic but excellent location, a few minutes walk to either Copacabana or Ipanema beach and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We had booked a room with 2 double beds so our room was actually quite spacious which was a pleasant surprise.

Not the best hotel we have ever stopped at but the service was good, the price was right and the location was well placed between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. A short walk to many well priced restaurants. The breakfast was good with a good variety. Would we stop there again - Yes!!!

Though not completely bad, the Atlantis Copacabana is far from a pleasant stay. If you're planning to stay there, make sure you get a room with some kind of view. When I stayed in the room 404, I couldn't open my curtains because it faced directly to the neighboring room's window. Staff doesn't all speak English, and were not very... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and had an overall good experience. Pros -Friendly and helpful English speaking staff. We did not feel like we were burdening them with our queries. They offered advice when needed and got us taxis when we wanted them. -Breakfast has good variety with fresh fruit and local Brazilian bread available. -Amenities such as soap,... More

Location of this hotel is great. Not five star but not five star prices. Rooftop pool suprisingly good for size with great views. Near to all transport. Recommend for value conscious who spend more time out and about than sitting in hotel rooms.

We stayed here for six nights during Carnival. Booked a standard double - had safe, fridge, excellent wifi and a courtyard view of a beautiful flowering tree. Staff is friendly, breakfast provides an array of fresh fruit, breads, scrambled eggs and wonderful coffee. Rooms were very clean and friendly maids change the sheets almost daily. They provided beach umbrellas and towels.

The hotel is fine, breakfast is far more than I expected, and the location is perfect as it's right in the middle of Copacabana and Ipanema. Everyday cleaning was fine, the room is clearly old and lacks maintenance (mind you, the plastic toilet seat keept moving, the tiles were partially broken, the towels were from 1990), BUT we had to... Everything about the stay at the Atlantis was horrific. We paid $500USD per night for the room due to it being Carnival, and although i understand there was a surcharge due to the time of year, we still expected a four star hotel as it is advertised. So, here is a list of things that if you can look past... More
