This hotel is wonderfully located within easy walk of both Impenema & Copacabana beaches. The buffet breakfast is also great with a wide variety of options. However the rooms themselves are pretty average & I would have expected more comfort for the price paid (this could just be a Rio fact though).

It is as the title says, it really was a great hotel. It is not fancy, but it has great shower, TV, wifi, safe and the beds were comfortable. The location is more than great, since there are a lot of places have lunch/dinner around, with different options and cost. It is of walking distance of them and also from... More

We stayed at the Atlantis in August 2014. Location was great - in between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches Breakfast was fine - buffet breakfast serving a selection of fruit, cereal, simple hot dishes and pastries. The hotel was clean and rooms were also comfortable and clean. Reception desk staff were the MOST unhelpful I've ever experienced! They couldn't offer any... More

I stayed at Atlantis Copacabana with two friends on Holiday. The hotel was clean and well kept. Front desk staff was more then helpful and when we asked to checkout a day early it was no problem and was not charged any extra for the time not stayed. This is a great option for the beach! Good area and at night I suggest you walk 5mins to the rocky cove on ipenema and watch the night surfers. Such a great location and you can go up on the rooftop pool and watch them during the day too and the beach nearby has a more young and attractive crowd... More

Was hoping for a bit better but we will give it average. Not on the beach but a great location between Copacabana and Ipanema. Access to a lot we were interested in during the World Cup. Small room and our bed was far from comfortable. Helpful staff who gave good information on transit options. Will do in a pinch but... More

We stayed at this hotel for 8 days during the World Cup. The hotel is not swanky but its very clean, the rooms won't blow you away but the beds are comfy, the showrooms are very very clean and the breakfast buffet is very good. The hotel is right on the transition from Copacobana to Ipanema beaches. its walking distance... More

Basically one step up from a hostel, if that. Whole hotel smells of unwashed elderly, hangover and regret. Not sure when the last time the bed cover was washed, if ever. The room is cleaner than the common areas. I can't believe I had to stay here. I would have given a zero but could not. Breakfast is basic but... More

Considering its the World Cup and its Rio, this is probably as good as your going to get without spending a fortune. Stayed for 10 nights in late June/early July. Hotel is located close to both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches and lots of shops, restaurants, and the Rio Metro. Neighborhood is very safe, especially at night. No frills here jut... More

We recently stayed here during World Cup. As other hotels had done, even several months ahead of time, the Atlantis raised their prices to gouge their customers. I was expecting this - but, after looking at the photos and decent reviews, was happy with my selection. Unfortunately, the hotel was quite underwhelming - the bathrooms haven't been updated since Frank... More
