We stayed here for 4 nights and had an overall good experience. Pros -Friendly and helpful English speaking staff. We did not feel like we were burdening them with our queries. They offered advice when needed and got us taxis when we wanted them. -Breakfast has good variety with fresh fruit and local Brazilian bread available. -Amenities such as soap,... More

Location of this hotel is great. Not five star but not five star prices. Rooftop pool suprisingly good for size with great views. Near to all transport. Recommend for value conscious who spend more time out and about than sitting in hotel rooms.

We stayed here for six nights during Carnival. Booked a standard double - had safe, fridge, excellent wifi and a courtyard view of a beautiful flowering tree. Staff is friendly, breakfast provides an array of fresh fruit, breads, scrambled eggs and wonderful coffee. Rooms were very clean and friendly maids change the sheets almost daily. They provided beach umbrellas and towels.

The hotel is fine, breakfast is far more than I expected, and the location is perfect as it's right in the middle of Copacabana and Ipanema. Everyday cleaning was fine, the room is clearly old and lacks maintenance (mind you, the plastic toilet seat keept moving, the tiles were partially broken, the towels were from 1990), BUT we had to... Right from the moment we got to this dull/run down hotel - things went sour. the staff werent helpful at all. we get to our room and the power points dont work. The suggestion is to charge our things downstairs. lets do this in bullet point - no power - wifi awful, cant even send a photo. it took 2... More

Everything about the stay at the Atlantis was horrific. We paid $500USD per night for the room due to it being Carnival, and although i understand there was a surcharge due to the time of year, we still expected a four star hotel as it is advertised. So, here is a list of things that if you can look past... More

Immediately when arrive at Hotel the room was not ready, need to wait for cleaning. More than 1 hour. Entering inthe room, and look like a cheap hotel, you feel like back to school time, when you go in school trip with your teachers and others students. Room have two metal chairs and small square table, fridge and A/C all... More

We stayed 5 nights to discover Rio from there and were happy about this choice! The rooms are nothing special but clean, the beds are comfortable and the air conditioning has a very low noise level. The breakfast is average but there is enough opportunities within the area. Even though the hotel is located in quite a safe area the... More

Front desk are rude and make you feel they are making you a huge favor just by talking to you. They should try to change their attitude... try to pretend at least they are trying to help and to make you want to come back. Much better experience and service at Martinique Copa (at a similar prize range)

Have stayed in this hotel three times and it has not let us down. It is in an excellent location on the corner of Copacabana and Ipanema beachs. The rooms are clean and bright as we always ask for a room with a view over of the ocean. I would however ask as an english speaker it would be nice... More
