I stayed here for 5 days. Advice: standard room offered on Expedia and the likes is the inside room facing into the wall. If you like very quiet places, this is a room for you. If there is a hint of claustrophobia, then don't book it. I booked a standard room. Unfortunately it was not properly cleaned of which I... More

Well located in front of one of the most beautifull spots in Rio, the beach of Arpoador, the hotel is a must see. Nice breakfest and friendly staff! They are renovating the place and making all effort to make the guests happy, its worth the visit.

Dear guest, We are super happy with the comments regarding your recent stay at the ARPOADOR INN. Thank you for noting the improvements we have making, such as our new Head Chef and breakfast, with plenty of local and seasonal ingredients, plus homemade bread and pastries and the dish of the day, such as tapiocas (the Brazilian gluten-free pancake) among... We just finished our South Amercan Cruise a few days ago in Valparaiso and opted to go back to Rio (after 2 days in Santiago) prior to going back to LA. We chose to come back to this hotel despite the great prices low prices of 5 stars hotel at this time. The hotel is right on the beach. More... More

The hotel is ok. Rather small rooms but clean. Breakfast is good. Staff very helpful and speaks good english. The location is amazing. By the beach. Normally the hotels are situated with a four lane road between the hotel and the beach but this one is located between Copacabana and Ipanema and there is only a privat small road in... More

Dear guest, Thank you for the fantastic comments about the ARPOADOR INN's location, breakfast and cordiality of our team. In fact we are in a unique location, where Ipanema meets Copacabana in this very special sea facing peninsula. We hope to welcome you soon to the ARPOADOR INN, when you could also try staying in one of the larger categories... More

This Inn is described as a Boutique Hotel. This can give an impression of quaint. Quaint this is not. There is a very bad smell somewhat like garbage when you enter the hotel, and an odour of smoke, the rooms very basic and the bed very small. We paid the extra for ocean view, but with that came the ongoing... More

Dear guest, Thank you so much for your comments about your trip to Rio de Janeiro. I noticed you stayed at the ARPOADOR INN right on new year's eve, when the whole city is celebrating the turn of the year in one of the most beautiful events on earth. There were in fact parties going on the Arpoador beach during... More

We stayed at Arpoador Inn for 3 nights. The location is perfect, right on the beach, without a street between the hotel and the sea. You can go for a swim before breakfast and it's also really close to the restaurants and bars of Ipanema Rooms are simple, but we loved the sea view, really friendly staff, and selection of... More

We stayed here as part of an intrepid tour for two nights and we booked an extra two nights when we booked our tour and paid in advance which in hindsight we shouldn't have done because we wouldn't have stayed otherwise. I'll start with the pros: friendly staff who speak adequate English, really good location between ipanema and copacabana beach,... More

This hotel is located right in Arpoador, just in between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. There are restaurants within a few minute walk, and walking in the area was safe and interesting. The breakfast was fair, but apart from that, the hotel service was very good. The rooms were adequate, and the Wifi was strong. I would stay here again.

The hotel is heavily overpriced and is a real old building which almost didn't receive renovation. The breakfast room is horrible and looks like an old military base. The beach side rooms are exposed directly to the Ipanema beach and are extremly loud till in the early morning hours. The only positive thing to mention is the friendliness of the... More

This hotel is a small gem in Rio. It is perfectly located near the end of Ipanema beach where it's easy to walk to either Ipanema or Copacabana beaches. The rooms are simple, but clean and adequate. The staff is outstanding…very helpful with suggestions for the city, truly going above and beyond to make the stay great. The breakfast is... More
