I stayed here BEFORE then AFTER getting married in Vegas. This is DEFINATELY a very high end hotel but the service & dedication from the staff reflect the price. It is possibly a once in a lifetime experience but one you will NEVER forget. NOTHING is too much trouble for the staff to do for you! The hotel has its... more

What a stunning hotel. I had read about the Copacabana Palace for years but actually chose another hotel because I wanted to be in the trendier, swankier Leblon area than on Copacabana Beach. Yes, the area has seen better days but I still felt rather safe. There is not much to see behind the hotel so just take a taxi... more

While I prefer Ipamena to Copacabana, there is no doubt that the right hotel is Rio de Janeiro (for work or pleasure) is the Copacabana Palace. What luxury. What a great pool. Great service, good food. Strong front desk and concierge. It is fantastic. There is no other place to stay in town - it is a grand dame hotel.... more

The Copacabana Palace has no rivals on the luxury scene in Rio de Janeiro the atmosphere, rooms, service and the style of this hotel is clearly undisputed in Rio. I went to see a few other 5 start options in Rio bu t nothing comes close to the elegance of Copacabana Palace. more

Most areas of the hotel have been covered in other posts, but the part of the hotel that impressed me was the assistance provided by the Concierge, which seemed a step up from the service received at other 5 Star establishments around the world. It came across as a genuine interest in the issue, matched with an ability to provide... more

We were only in Rio two nights, and by coincidence, the selection of 2016 olympics were made one of those days on Cocacabana Beach. What a thrill! The hotel is lovely with a great location. By far the best choice in Rio. It is expensive to eat at the hotel, but there are plenty of alternatives within walking distance. Ipanema... more

The staff at the Copacabana Palace was fantastic. From check-in (with the wonderful Felipe) on we received nothing but top notch service. The rooms are a bit older and not as grand as some newer hotels but the overall luxuriousness cannot be beat. You really don't need to leave the hotel as there is Cipriani's, Pergula Restaurant (great service from... more

I have been to Rio several times and stayed in Ipanema at several luxury hotels. Finally, we arranged to stay at the Cococabana Palace. When we arrived, we knew we were in the right place. Everyone knew our names and we were given an upgrade without asking. Our room was glorious and faced Cococabana Beach. The beds are the best... more

The room had a spectacular view of the beach and was well air conditioned and clean. The Swimming pool was big enough for laps and had a small area for the kids to mess around. The 2 restaurants are excellent with great breakfast and dinner. Lunch is as good, but better to go into the city to have lunch! It... more
