After a terrible experience in another hostel, I decided to look for somewhere else to stay in Rio. I arrived at Bossa in Rio without a reservation and I was extremely welcome by the staff. The hostel is very beautiful, clean and fun. I was lucky enough to have a 4 beds form all for myself. Breakfast was delicious and... More

We really loved our stay - the building itself is very nice, the rooms (we had the Master Suite) was perfectly clean and looked just great. I was also positively surprised that they serve a wide range of really yummy breakfast. Additionally the Hostel's staff (and the cat :-)) was super-friendly and super helpful all the time. When I will... More

As hostels go, this is a good one. The communal areas are good (although a little smaller than I expected) and the staff and fascilities are of a high standard. The room my group had included it's own balcony and was a good size for the number of people. The loaction is something that needs to be considered before making... More

Hostel was clean with good breakfast. It's a bit of a climb up from St Teresa but it's handy to transport and restaurants. We stayed in a converted dorm with 5 beds with balcony. Only complaint would be when we wanted to visit Christ the redeemer the guy at reception was admant we could only do it as part of... More

This place was sold to us as a "boutique" hotel... turned out its an above average backpackers! Stay away from room no. 1, as its right next to the hallway and the kitchen! Exceptionally loud breakfast prep starts at 7am! Staff are lovely and so helpful and Santa Teresa is a beautiful neighbourhood, so not all is lost...

Grand Portuguese colonial building , high up on the edge of Santa Teresa The tram tracks were being repaired at the time, though look close to being finished, however at present is a bit of a steep walk. The building occupies an excellent position having views over part of the city and can be viewed through mature trees and foliage... More

Most people going to Rio immediately think of staying in one of the high-rise hotels on Ipanema or Copacabana beaches. If you are disabled, or need special accommodations, do that. However, if you want a REAL experience of Rio, consider staying in the Bossa in Rio Hostel!! This hostel is located in the Santa Teresa section of Rio. It is... More

We stayed in in March 2013 - but we still talk about this place over a year on! It was our favourite place that we stayed in over the whole 2 weeks that we were in Brazil. The breakfast was lovely, very chilled and relaxed atmosphere. In a great location too. Special thanks to the staff during our stay as... More
