Terrible Wifi, tiny pool area and VERY expensive extras...... The wifi barely worked throughout the duration of our stay (5nights), the gym isn't a gym (old an very little equipment), and the pool area is grubby and nowhere near enough sun loungers. There is always leftover food on empty tables baking away in the heat! You have to wait for... More

I was with a group of 30 people in the World championship in football in Brazil in 2014 from my country. The hotel is in accordance with 4 stars. The rooms are normal size, very clean, bright and have everything you need, as well as the bathroom also. At the top of the hotel building is a swimming pool. Breakfast is good,... More

We arrived in Rio after a long trip and were disappointed we only had single beds. However after a chat with the Manager all was quickly solved - this was just one example of the quality service. The front desk were really helpful and all the staff great at this family friendly Hotel. The location is away from some "must... More

No near Copacabana but then not all hotels are and this is a safe area with a good atmosphere. Ideal for the metro and trips to Cristo Redentor. Not sure why the restaurant has to be shrouded behind vast curtains which hardly makes it welcoming and presumably why few people eat in what is a good restaurant. Some more useful... More

Compare to other hotels in Rio, you can name this hotel as 4 star but in fact it's a real 3 star hotel. The bad thing for this accommodation is long distance to Copocabana beach. But the good thing is very close distance to some public buses that take care of transportation to Corcovado. Some staffs can speak few English... More

Just come back from Brazil after spending the last 5 nights in Rio for the World Cup: Pros: Location is great as there is a metro near by: Largo Do Marchado, so this saves time moving around when the traffix is busy. Taxi to Copacabana/Lappa/Sugar Loaf 15-20real in a taxi (or less) Can get in the same square fully inclusive... More

Very reasonable priced hotel in a lively and busy neighborhood. Conveniently located near a metro stop. Don't even dream of taking the metro around 18.00, it is too busy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Far from glitzy Copacabana and Ipanema, Flamengo is the place to be. Good restaurants nearby. From the terrace you get a view Very good view of... More
