I travel to Mato Grosso, Brazil every year for work. On my way to and from Mato Grosso, I've stayed to relax in Rio at the Casa Caminho do Corcovado three times and will return this year. If you're looking for big city lights, action, and noise, or are a picky traveler who is not satisfied unless everything is just... More

We stayed 4 nights and were very disappointed. The view is the only nice point. You do not have good feelings there. You get a page of "don't do list, they change sheets and towels only once 3 or 4 days, thay make the beds every day but do not clean the room. If you leave the aircondition on when... More

We regret that even after asking you to not use the air conditioner with open doors and windows and turn off when leaving the room, you have insisted on doing it and forcing us to go inside your room and turn off the air conditioning. Preserve nature is vital to the Casa Caminho do Corcovado, the house is located inside... More

This small, owner-operated B&B has just a few rooms and is situated near the Tram to Corcavado, the Cristo Redentor monument high above Rio. It is a relatively quiet and peaceful enclave in a bustling metropolis of BIG noise and many people. The owner and her son are extremely knowledgeable and very willing to share the details of places to... More

A very nice place to stay, really a small bed and breakfast. Very helpful hosts. Nice grounds, with occasional monkeys, and nice views. Well situated for Corcovado and Christ the Redeemer, and good bus services to many areas. Not so good if you want to visit the beaches. Also if on foot, a steep walk up the hill.

Early in 2013 me and my wife planned our winter (European one) holiday in Rio de Janeiro and after a careful and methodical search on Tripadvisor we decided to stay in Casa Caminho do Corcovado. All we had to do was to write an email asking if there was availibility between 21st of December and 4th of January and Helena... More

Cool and calm oasis in a hectic city! Situated high up on a hill overlooking a valley, this is a very nice area to stay in Rio. Quiet and sophisticated ambiance which was appreciated after each busy day looking around. Helene and Diogo are so friendly and helpful, and gave advice with options on the best way to see the... If trip Advisor ia looking out to nominate a Guest House or a Hotel in Rio de Janeiro as their Gold Medal winner, this is the place for the award. This is THE place to stay in Rio. Quiet, beautiful surroundings, clean and comfortable, convenient to shops, restaurants and the Christ the Redeemer cable car. The breakfast is delicious and with plentiful fresh fruit. The mother and son who run the B&B give great suggestions of where to go, where to eat and what buses to take. A short, cheap... More

This is a delightful B&B set on the edge of the Tijuca Park Reserve and yet is only ten minutes walk down to the station for the Corcovado. The hosts Helena and Diogo were so welcoming and helpful I can't thank them enough for making our stay in Rio so enjoyable. Diogo collected us from the airport and gave us... More
