We stopped for 2 nights in April on the 6th floor. Room was clean and modern with fantastic views of the ocean. The pool area is good although some construction is going on nearby so there is some noise. The beautiful beach is just across the road and some decent surf on some days. It's 2 minutes walk to many... More

For a short business trip to Rio I had some other hotels in consideration but they were overbooked, so I had to relook and from all my second best choices my choice was this one. The hotel is located at the beach in Barra, one of the more business oriented areas. The beach is beautiful and many people from Rio... More

The hotel is nice but nothing special. They are redoing the rooms and it looks much better so ask for a new room if possible. It´s fairly clean, very close to one one of the maps streets in Jardim Oceanico where you can find many restaurants, cash machines and act. There service is poor but some of the staff members... The location is marvellous, but the hotel is too old and it is currently under construction. It means noise from early morning. Breakfast is good, gym is bad, swimmingpool medium... Wifi signal too low and it is not included in the price of the room. But the worst thing that happened is that the flush didn´t work!!! During one night... More

The hotel has just been remodeled (probably because of the World Cup visitors flow) and rooms are modern and comfortable (air conditioning still bugging though), but beyond that one can still feel the effects of bad management: terrible service (with employees mocking people who "lost their reservations for being late", for exemple) and awfully overpriced room internet access (US 25/night!!)... stayed for one week at the Hotel. my third stay at this property. since the last time, they renovated the high floors so that was nice. Only problem i had is that they are still in the process of renovation and you will hear the noise almost everyday, to bad the don't mention that on their website... great pool for... More

The rooms are shabby, walls paper thin, unfriendly and completely useless staff. Everybody speaks only portuguese and are unfazed about their international clientele's struggles. The maid refused to give us a clean towel even when urging (ie. pointing) that the old one was on the floor since the night before. She flatly refused and walked away. The late check out... More

Despite what I´ve read here in trip advisor before arriveing there, the hotel is good enough to vacation and business. In front of the sea, counting with a wonderful sight of Barra beach, a peaceful place, with white sand and worming wind, the hotel´ staff were very kindly in all my demands, and have shown a high level of hospitailty.... The position of this hotel is great, if you want to stay in Rio far from the chaotic Copacabana. The beach of Barra is very beautiful, and this is the place to do kitesurfing in Rio. The hotel is not bad, for the standard of Rio (very expensive with just sufficient quality). We also tried the restaurant and it was... More
