We stayed in this B&B for 4 nights. Rooms were fine and bathroom large, clean and nice. The house was old and had a lovely athmosphere. Staff spoke English and were super helpful. As the temperature came close to 38C while we visited we were super happy about the large pool area in the garden. It also had a small... More

It is a great place. Right into Santa Tereza, a cool neighborhood in Rio. It's an old house but it is in a very good state. Staff are great, friendly and kind. But nothing is perfect. The towels were kind of old...they could be better... The pool boy didn't have to clean the pool at 7 am and wake us... More

Stayed 2nights with family and friends for 2 days sightseeing in rio. Owners and staff v friendly and helpful. Useful bar area by pool and we could drink our own beer of a night. No air con but fan in room fine. Only downside of our twin room was it was small and if you stay longer than a couple... More

We had the last 2 nights of our trip here. It was nice but the room was very small with a futon style bed, there wasn't much room for bags and to be honest it felt a bit cramped. The villa itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential when it is developed- i assume it is a work... More

Villa Laurinda is like an oasis in the busy city of Rio. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the others guests were also polite. The breakfast was filling and generous, and we received good advice on what to do with our time in Rio. Santa Theresa is an up and coming district of the city, with a parade... More

I guess one of the best places to stay in Rio. Beautif surroundings of Santa Teresa district - nice bars with great atmosphere, cozy streets. The Villa itself is a mixture of the interiors of 19th century and modern equipment. Tasty breakfasts, super common areas - indoor and outdoor. English speaking helpful staff. I can say, it's one of the... More

First of all: if the villa would have been the only place I had stayed in Rio I might have rated it higher but having the comparison to other B&Bs I have to say it is just average. Nothing more or less! After arriving at Rua Laurinda Santos Lobo in Santa Teresa we were greeted by a lovely architecture with... More

Villa Laurinda, is a little paradise. The host were very welcoming ! We have truly felt we were at some one's home. The breakfast was wonderful! We were in Rio for work. How nice to jump in the pool at 8am and be at work in Centro by 10! Santa Teresa has not lost it's charm yet.

Really nice building and the room itself had a superb, spacious bathroon. The hosts were very welcoming, and the breakfasts were served to me and my wife individually as oppossed to buffet style which I thought was really good. The location is just outside of Santa Teresa's main centre which was good as it was relatively quiet (5 minute walk... More
