We stayed here for 4 nights in a private double room and really enjoyed our stay. The hostel is located in a really good location, 3 blocks from the beach. It's in a quiet courtyard which is nice for sleeping but a pain if you want to socialise as the terrace is closed from 10pm. Our room was opposite the... More

I am an Australian, 25 years old, currently in Rio de Janeiro travelling. At Casa6ipanema, they double booked my room, leaving me no option but to sleep on the couch in their reception as no other hostels were available. I put down a 50 Rial deposit for my key, which they claimed there was no receipt for. After hours of... More

We got away from this hostel after one night because of the price....really too expensive for a basic accomodation like this. Of course, it is very close to Ipanema beach but the room was tiny (only a few square meters to insert a queen-size bed) and it was devoid of any kind of coat rack to put the stuff. But... More

I went for a weekend and stayed in a private room, which was two blocks away from the hostel (I didn't know that prior the arrival, but for me it hasn't been a problem). The apartment was good, the location is amazing, just two blocks from the beach, but we also paid the price. The only issue for me it's... More

Had a wonderful three night stay - traveling as a couple and booked the double private through hostelworld. Bed was huge with lots of closet space!! Staff was very friendly, spoke English and allowed us to check in a few hours early upon arrival. Located just a 5 minute walk from ipanema beach and 10 minutes from copacabana beach. Lots... More

I stayed 6 nights with my friend in a 6 bed dorm room. We had good roommates which really helps but also it was cleaned daily and no bed bugs. The room was hot with three fans running. The staff were very helpful and friendly with calling cabs and other stuff. It was very helpful that they speak english. The... More

Stayed one night in a private room with bathroom which wasnt in the actual hostel but in an apartment block down the road, good location but a lot of keys to access the room and seemed a little intimidating. Also the bed was quite hard and it was quite expensive for what it was, also you have to walk back... More

I stayed 2 nights in this hostel in a private room (per night: 100 BRS). It is true, the room, is not big, but I already knew this from the Lonely Planet. But the hostel is very clean (no bed bugs or moscitos) and the staff at the reception is very helpful and speaks English fluently. They helped me organize... More

Booked a twin for $ 80 so expected something basic but liveable. Shared bathroom. Stephane the French owner was really miserable. Didn't say hello just wanted the money and to ensure we had read his rules ! The room has one window facing the interval hall so it's hot, stuffy, lacks privacy , you hear everyone in the hostel come... More
