Great location, right on the beach. Great breakfasts and good views from the roof. Helpful and friendly staff, although never take the hotel taxi, always ask for a meter taxi, as this is much cheaper and just as safe. The rooms are clean, although a bit dated. more

Great Location. Shops/restaurants/beaches all within a short walking distance. Copacabana Beach right at your door step. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. All spoke well English. Breakfast buffet was brilliant. Rooms were very clean with a reasonable decent size bathroom. The Excelsior is wonderful vaue for the price. Location is superb facing the beach. This is a convenient, clean, comfortable hotel.
