Stayed here for 3 nights for business trip. Hotel is in suburban area of Barra de Tijuca neighborhood where there are many American style shopping centers, warehouse stores and corporate office parks. Hotel specializes in hosting group meetings and visitors coming to do business at corporate office parks. We were doing business with a company situated in an office park, and... More

The hotel has something that can be good or bad: it's located in a very calm place at Barra - what means that as a tourist you will need taxi for everything - absolutely everything. 7/10 The room is amazing!! Big, with a massive bed and very comfortable pillows - but the chair's desk is not appropriated and its very... More

The hotel staff has been excellent. The issue I have is that it was impossible to have an peace and quiet during the day. This place must be falling apart due to the constant hammering, banging and drilling. I was unfortunate enough to be on a night shift and trying to sleep during the day. I expect to return to... Arrived in Rio after changing 4 flights and was dead beat. Even the prime location of the hotel could not entice me to go for a stroll on the famous Barra (pronounced Ba-Ha) da Tijuca. Entering hotel the check in was done in less than 3 minutes and was escorted to the room. The room was spacious, clean and well... More

As an American here I must say I was expecting less. But the hotel is in fairly good condition they have many staff members that speak some English and are very happy to help most of the time. When you enter the room you will notice that there is not power but that is easily fixed by putting your room key... Noisy cleaners, waking up to hammering noise, poor breakfast, being asked to present a credit card as a warranty for possible expenses (either that or cash, which I preferred when the clerk started copying my credit card details).. I've seen better options in Rio.

Good enough for staying on business. Food may not be of your choice so for more than one night stay go to a restaurant. The hotel is relatively close to the beach which, if you like to walk in the open, is better than the overcrowded typical places of Rio.
