The staff, room, and breakfast were great! It was clean and the room looked better than in the pictures. Located very close to Escalaria Selaron which was beautiful and Arcos de Lapa. I would be cautious at night time in this area though, and wouldn't recomend walking around since it was a bit dark. if you have a car or... More

Read some of the reviews and was a bit wary and didn't know what to expect of this hotel...we had no reason for concern! First of all, the area - I can understand why at first it may seem a bit dodgy, but you have nothing to fear! You can walk round freely, drink with the locals, Centro, Sant Teresa... More

The attention of the staff was excellent. The breakfast is abundant and varied. While the windows of the hotel is not very big, as it is not very crowded you can enjoy perfectly. Everything was very clean. The room that we had was more beautiful from what you could see in the pages of the internet.

We arrived at night, the cab drove into a red light district which surrounds the "hotel". It is not, I repeat NOT a safe hotel. No safety boxes, lock and key for the room door-that can easily be broken into, the main front door was open (I checked in at midnight). There area is very dangerous, drunken, druggies, hookers (I... Good location close to LAPA. Close to the airport and public transport, very small rooms, breakfast served in the room but there is no favorable conditions for a meal. Poor maintenance but clean, most staff do not speak English.

The hotel is very simple. The room have a table, a small fridge, cable TV and good internet conection. The breakfast was really good, and served in the room. The staff were amazing, unfortunetly I didn't get their names, but they were all very nice and helpful. The prices, for Rio, are also good. There's a lot of bars, restaurants,... More

This hotel is near the Lapa bar and restaurante area and is close to the theatre district. The only problem is it is just on the verge of a bit of rougher area with lots of alcoholics and has a bit of an unsafe feel at night. It is however just a block into the not so great area and... More

I thought this hotel was an excellent budget hotel. The rooms were very clean, the staff were very helpful, the location is central, and the breakfast was huge! It was a little strange having the breakfast sent to the room (with no table), but there was plenty of food and the hotel itself is well maintained.

Quit close to the center, but in outworn surroundings. No breakfast hall, but 10 minutes after calling the reception, breakfast was served in the room - where there was no table nor chair. During the carnival this is probably one of the cheaper hotels.
