Monte Imperial is a lovely place ,with beautiful views,the place stands on a hill so one can have some views of the city.The pousand is located in a very quiet place aldo in the city,you can even walk to the Royal Musuem (about 10 min-remember going down easier-but expect to walk in a little hill going to the Pousada-Taxi very easy to find,they will even call for you...). The pousada have beautiful gardens,delicious breakfast I even order a tea for me and 2 family members(a must do...).The mountain right in front is amaizing with a misty top that comes down in the evening,the weather in the summer time was about 75,so there isn't air condition but was so cool that didn't matter.
Expect to see hummingbirds and other beautiful birds and exotic plants,I went for a walk to a little road in the right side of the pousada from there there is a view of a beautiful mountain in Petropolis....I am a brazilian living in the USA but I will never forget Petropolis and this place ,I absolutelly... more
