We stayed five days with two kids(10 and 7).Lovely hotel, comfortable and outstanding staff. Great place to bring the family. The room was spacious and very clean. The restaurant is excellent in the breakfast, lunch or dinner, in addition well located in this quiet imperial city.

This is a very special place. It's a historic building that was renovated and modernized with very good taste. The owners are always around making sure that everything goes well and that the guests needs are being met. Regularly visit Petropolis on Business and always stay at Solar do Imperio. If there is no availability at Solar because it is often full, I stay in Rio. The owners and their staff are amazingly helpful, friendly, and really appreciate that you are staying at their hotel spa.

We did not stay at the Hotel but we did have our Family Thanksgiving Dinner there. Must say the food, the service were excellent. Made a very special evening for us. The restaurant was child friendly and took a toddlers needs into consideration.

Solar do Império is an excellent hotel located in the Imperial City of Petropolis near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Accomodations are confortable , good breakfast and excellent restaurant. Perfect for cellebrations like birthday and anniversaries.
