Spent three nights here recently. The pousada is excellent in many respects. Comfortable rooms, excellent service, very good breakfast. However, the amount of mosquitos/biting insects near the pool was severe. The staff have thought of that and provided repellent and also a plug in device to use in your room. The wi-fi only works in the poolside area, not in... More

Located close to the coach and bus station, this inn is on what looks like the high street in Paraty with cafes, shops and pharmacies close by. It is not in the historic town of Paraty but only two blocks away. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast, inviting swimming pool do dive in after a day out and about... More

First the hotel is not where google says it is.... I rally think this hotel has a massive Mosquitoes issues, I have never stayed anywhere before with such a problem, I asked the manager to sort a tour of the town, but he could not be bothered. WIFI is poor in the rooms.. Breakfast is good with lots of options,... More

The Pousada is very pretty with a nice pool and lots of relaxation areas. Good wifi everywhere and free. Good service but very few staff speak English. Main niggle was the size of the rooms which were were really compact, and lack of storage of any sort, except a small hanging and shelf space. no hooks on the walls, nowhere... More

This is a simple pousada in an okay location in Paraty - in fact, because it's in a very ordinary road you perhaps experience more reality than much of Paraty offers, in that the town is stunning, a World Heritage Site, and therefore almost unreal to us ordinary folk. I really liked this pousada because it had been the home... More

The location is great. I liked the building (it brings local atmosphere for the staying and has a nice garden) and people at the reception desk were nice. The breakfast is abundant but forgettable. On the other hand, wi fi only works at the reception desk and the cleaning service was awful. They left empty cans and cups uncleaned in... More

Hard to fault the rooms or hotel - everything is clean, great pool and bar area and located just a short walk from the town centre. But the wifi access is non-existent in the rooms and still desperately slow in the bar area. This is a major issue if you have business to conduct online, which proved a real headache.

After a month in hostels this was a welcome oasis. Stunning setting, comfy beds, good breaky and a luxurious pool! Staff were helpful although a huge language barrier if you don't speak Portuguese. Wifi sucked, although the hotel presents itself as a retreat and thus being in contactable is almost part of the appeal. Rooms are awesome! We'll worth spending... More

Stayed for a couple of nights. The location is very good, a stroll away from the historic centre and the boat pier. Rooms are basic. The toilet is open and might be awkward if u r staying with friends. Staff though not proficient in English do comprehend and try to help. Breakfast is basic but has that home-cooked feel. Small...
