We booked the hotel using my AMEX and this was the only place I used my credit card in all of Brazil. My number was stolen and they even tried to buy a used car! Pousada Porto Imperial is nice and confortable. The rooms are a bit old fashioned (basin in the room and the shower and toilet in a separate room) but nice too. The pool area is great, with a stem sauna and Jacuzzi. A great place to relax after a beach day. Many trip advisors recomendations are far of the historical nice... more
Paid $82 for a single. Many tour groups use this hotel, but it was refreshingly quiet at night. Absolutely lovely! Nice rooms, good breakfasts, close to the water, very helpful workers...who even set up breakfast just for us at 4AM because we had to leave so early. A totally pleasant experience! more
We spent two days in Parati in early January and were very impressed with the Pousada Porto Imperial. It is very centrally located and the hotel offers beautifully decorated lounges, a small garden with swimming pool and relatively simple but nice and quiet rooms.
