I have just spent four days at an international symposium in beautiful Paraty. I originally had booked an excellently reviewed pousada (on Trip Advisor) but as my visit drew nearer I realised it was quite a way out of the historic centre and as a solo traveller who's never been to Brazil before I decided I would prefer to be... We stayed here for a few nights in April. The hotel was clean, quiet and restful. There was a particularly helpful member of staff called Marco on the front desk who was very professional. The breakfast was good and the hotel had lovely areas to relax in.

Finding the place was a little hard using GPS. It's actually located behind the church on the main square. Our check in was painless and the staff is very courteous and helpful. The room was simple but very clean. The common areas are really pretty especially the pool. The front desk arranged an island/beach tour by boat that we really... More

We arrived yesterday in Paraty from Rio after almost 5 hours on a bus. It was worthy! Paraty is a beautiful place. We're staying at the Pousada Porto Imperial. The place is charming, friendly, clean, wonderful pool and great staff. The breakfast is fantastic and although they don't have a restaurant, the Pousada has light bites to eat if you... More

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and wished we could have stayed longer! You can't beat the central (yet quiet) location of this hotel and we loved the pool and steam room facilities. Our room was large, light, clean, modern and well appointed and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Staff speak English. We loved the fresh rosemary/mint/orange... More

We travelled to Parati in mid June 2013 and stayed for 2 nights at Porto Imperial Pousada. While not disclosed beforehand, the hotel was under renovation. The pool and surrounding area was closed off and a number of rooms were being refurbished. The room we stayed in was a good size but pretty spartan. Breakfast was average. WiFi was not... More

Great place to stay in Paraty. Located right in the heart of historical center this hotel is very well constructed and maintained. The rooms were cosy and nicely decorated. The staff was also very helpful. They also offer very good morning breakfast.

The pousada is located in the very historic centre of Paraty- the location is really great, so are very nice the lobby and the lounge. What is quite negative are the rooms (ours were standard on the ground floor): small and with a very noisy a/c, with no view whatsoever (and no fresh air coming in). Staff kind and helpful,... More
