My wife and I planned a 3 day, 2 night get away to Paraty, RJ. We found a lot of B&Bs online, but I think we got REALLY lucky by finding a room at Vistamar. I have never written a review, but this place is worth it. The rooms are great, everything is super clean, breakfast was delicious, the staff... More

This is a lovely pousada! The owners are super nice and helpful and the rooms are clean with good aircon, a comfy bed and hammocks. The TV is not so great but you probably don't come here to watch TV. It is located right on the beach. While the beach is not what I would consider great for laying out,... More

One of the best features about this place is that it's not in the heart of Paraty. When you explore the town it's amazing, but to head back to this seaside retreat at the end of the day and dine at the beachfront bars is so relaxing. It surprised us how much we enjoyed it. The couple running it at... More

The pousada is great. 10 minute walk to historical center and downtown, although you won't want to leave Jabaquara Beach. The owners/managers are a wonderful, friendly, and hardworking couple. They provide everything you need upon request. The pousada is clean and organized, the pool was clean, the breakfast was good. The owners provided plenty of information about Paraty, directed us... The hotel is on an beautiful and idyllic bay within walking distance from the historic center of Paraty. You can marvel at a view with pristine waters, the mountain with "Gods thumb" on it and wildlife from the balcony of your hotel room. The host and hostess, Berndt and Hilkka were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. They know the area... More

Our trip to Parati took us 15 hours and 6 bus changes ( came from Sarapui north SP), but my word it was well worth it! The local bus dropped us directly outside the Pousada, where we were met by a really layed back lady who took us from being stressed out to chilled out in seconds - the way... More

As camping refugees, we nabbed the last two rooms in this very comfortable pousada. Martin, the owner, was very helpful and pleasant, and speaks English (as well as Portuguese and German and possibly other things!). We were delighted to find that afternoon tea is served daily and that breakfast was delicious - lots of fresh fruit, fresh breads, and, best... More
