We stayed at this hostel in the beautiful town of Paraty and was not disappointed.
From the moment we arrive we felt welcomed and this continued throughout our stay. The hostel is owned/run by a British guy called John who was really friendly and helpful. He supported by a very friendly team, the lovely Claudea on Reception, friendly cook (who slightly resembled Olive from 'On the Buses'!!) and the fun if verring on mad barbecue organiser William.
Other positives about the hostel is the value for money - my partner and I had our own ensuite room for 60R$ which seemed very good value. Two of the four nights we stayed the hostel had a barbecue night - 20R$ for all you can eat and drink - steak and capirinhas! The food was delicious but just go slow on the drinks, you can easily get very drunk on that stuff!!
